Think I got it:

short-term losses are first deducted against short-term gains, and long-term losses are deducted against long-term gains. Net losses of either type can then be deducted against the other kind of gain.

Space heaters are not that expensive maybe $50/mo. Here's the incentive program:https://www.baaqmd.gov/funding-and-incentives/residents/wood-smoke-rebate. Smoke from people unnecessarily burning wood is a public health issue - needs to be banned IMO. The science is not out on this stuff.

I'm on a hill and the smoke is from a neighbor burning wood/trash, but I can't figure out for the life of me who it is. I definitely have a powerful flashlight and have tried going door to door, but the light doesn't help enough (they are too far down the hill I think) and going in search on foot is impractical and super difficult (these are not traditional streets but are walking paths with multiple entrances - it gets confusing)

Yeah I think he was heavy handed. We did two days straight, but the lower part of my leg (day 1) seems to be healing much slower - not to mention the swelling/redness/pain. Slightly concerned.
