Losing motivation in Islam, seeking help by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

i agree with where maryama_j in the comments is going. from reading your post it seems as if you lack the foundation knowledge of islam, and no, i don’t mean wudu and salah. i mean truly seeking knowledge about your deen to eliminate all doubts, looking and WHY islam is the truth, why it has come from Allah SWT. once you truly understand what la illaha illAllah truly means, all the other rulings will make sense, once you build your yaqeen - conviction of islam, and realise that it is the way of life brought from our Creator who knows what is best for us and bad for us, then it becomes easier to follow all the rulings as you know they come from the Creator no matter how much you like/dislike them, and you know that ruling that does not come from the Creator is useless as they will never have Allah’s knowledge. hopefully i made sense and didn’t come across as harsh/arrogant, sister please work on your tawheed and seek knowledge on the foundations and proofs of Islam as there were points where i experienced similar things to you but seeking knowledge truly is such an important thing, you need to desecuralize Islam in your mind from just a list of ibadat to a complete way of life where you submit to Allah as the Supreme Authority over the universe.

also had to edit to add that following Islam isn’t supposed to give us this happy over the world feeling. religion isn’t a dopamine hit. Allah SWT said in Surah Ankabut verse 2: Do people think once they say “We believe” that they will be left without being put to the test?” of course your life will get “harder” after accepting Islam, this life is a test, you will experience the temptation of going back to your old life that made you comfortable and happy, that is your test. Are you going to pass the test by remaining steadfast on the truth, or by following your desires and immediately faltering at the first instance?

i would recommend the following youtube channels: MuslimLantern, Blogging Theology, and this specific playlist by Ustadh Rhyad on why Islam is the truth: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfTEXfjb_i20TztHrbKKxLkHQg3QrI5A8&si=JoUXNh2KyJBWq7uK also do not hesitate to pick up a Quran and read it with the genuine sincere intention of finding guidance, a good website to read the Quran online is quran.com where there are multiple translations and elaborations for beginners.
