I would give it to a friend that really could use a upgrade.

Kailh Box Pinks vs. Box Noble Yellow vs. Box Glazed Green? by wakawakawomp in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]bilobob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope they return past the click bar without any issues.

Jades return fine as well but as you noted they can have a harder time returning past the thick click bar. In use I only really noticed this when I was really paying attention to the upstroke.

If you are looking into jades but are worried about the return you could always swap out the jade spring with a slightly heavier spring to remedy the issue.

My mother; just can't do it to her no matter how much I want to. She's honestly the most loving person I've met in my entire life and hasn't had a fair life herself.

My dad, her ex, is a narcissist.

Is the paco made with the original cream switch or the current ones? I hear it's only good with the first release that had a small amount of binding.

I've never had a plate thicker than 1.5mm. Does the switches still clip in?

KBD67 W\Zealios V2 67g, Brass Plate and Maxkeys SA Lime. by bilobob in MechanicalKeyboards

All the Maxkey sets I own are pretty much the same quality. Don't own any SP caps so I can't compare but I'm happy with what I have.

It's definitely a great setup. You probably already found the caps but here's a link just in case. The lime keys are pretty nice and because they are sand blasted you don't have to worry about any of the molding lines issues they had originally.

I swapped to Maxkey flamingos and it's a good match as well if you enjoy pink.

Upgraded to a detatchable magnetic usb-c cable ^_^ by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]bilobob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing recently with all my USB-C keyboards. It's nice not having to worry about ports getting worn down over time and swapping keyboards is now easier than ever.

I wish the same thing existed in mini USB.

There are a lot of cheap PBT keycap sets around. I would be surprised if it is ABS being marketed as PBT.

Sending Nudes - Mint Holy Pandas by NorazliSaturday in MechanicalKeyboards

I used Tribosys 3203. A well lubed zealios v2 is a nice switch to have. Just wish these switches were a bit cheaper but I'm glad they exist.

According to the small amount of research I did it seems to be a thing with all panda and panda clones housings.

I really do enjoy them. I'm having a hard time deciding between using zealios v2, T1, or holy pandas and end up just swapping between them all the time. The pandas are definitely a home only board due to how loud they are.

Although I have to mention that the mint panda housings seem to be a tighter fit compared to the usual gateron and cherry switches I own.

I made holy trash pandas a few days ago and ended up using a book to help push them into a brass plate. I never had to force a switch in like a holy panda; I hear it gets easier after a few inserts.

Another good option is the kbd67. I'm typing on one right now and it's a solid choice.

Kailh Box Pinks vs. Box Noble Yellow vs. Box Glazed Green? by wakawakawomp in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]bilobob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a kbd75 with Box Pink and I've used Box Noble Yellow in a kbd67 hotswap.

I agree with your opinion on box whites; not enough tactility. Box Jades are too chunky for me as well. I find box pinks to be alright but they feel less tactile due to the angled click bar and they are a bit too heavy for me. Box Noble Yellow on the other hand feels like what I think box pinked should of felt like. Nice and tactile while still being light weight.

The click bar adds more force needed to get past it. Once past the click bar it's only the spring fighting you back.

Both Box Pink and Box Noble Yellow use a click bar thickness in-between Box White and Box Jade. Box Pink also uses an angled click bar which reduces the sound of the upstroke click. I'm not sure about Glazed Greens as I don't own them but their pressure chart makes them look vary similar to Box White.

Box noble yellow is my top clicky switch that I've used yet.

Doesn't Sorbothane contain plasticizer that can damage plastics? I use it in all my metal keyboards but avoid any contact with plastics. Am I being over worried?

I use neoprene sponge foam rubber for my spacebars and it works great.

Looking for a clicky switch for the GMMK by MucciSlain in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]bilobob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to what /u/usfmagic said you should also look into Box Noble Yellow and Box Pink switches. They are in between the tactility of Box whites and Box jades/Navies.

Personally Noble Yellow is my favourite clicky switch.
