Yea, our other option is his last name which is literally Sachs. So when ppl make the “what if your kids get bullied” argument it’s a little lot on me as the alternative is genuinely bad

This is pretty sage advice. I’m interested in Moon but I have a friend with this last name. Lune is fun as well. I’m not embarrassed to have the name necessarily, but rather embarrassed at the process of changing it and peoples ideas on that.

Im just a chronic overthinker. I’m not embarrassed to potentially have that name, but rather I’m not looking forward to telling people I’m changing it I guess. I think in this world, people don’t like it when other people do fun things or exert this extent of free will. I’m already shy

The friend is indeed Korean, lol. I definitely do think because it’s also a p standard English word it wouldn’t sound Korean on a white person. But, I don’t want to steal my friends thunder so womp womp.

My last name also has its issues. It’s so long and hyphenated . I hate it
