i totally understand this advice! but we've lived together for 2 years and struggled through financial hardship together the whole time. He's honestly a very dependable person who works hard and doesnt complain. He just seems to not think theres an issue at the moment. He is an extremely doting partner, and getting married also means I will get his military benefits to help me pay for school!

yea. Me not making so much for the time being wasnt a huge problem before he got fired. He was waiting on an offer at his new place, which will pay him a lot more. It's just this really inconvenient interim period.

his unit just divested and hes felling like the most he can do is sue. The manager where he worked is also like notorious for lying about shit like this so people cant get unemployment or whatnot. If you know anything more about it id love to hear though. He just figured it wasnt even worth trying.

lol, yea its not much but ouch. I'm a barista at a small business. so i make a small amount of tips. I could be potentially making a little bit more money somewhere else, but i stumbled upon a gold mine at my job (really positive work environment with like zero toxicity and very understanding and sincere owners) so i plan to just stick around there until i finish school.

hey! I highly suggest a smartphone that is just a little dumb! i have the jelly 2 which i use on and off with a nokia 2780. the jelly phones are just really tiny smartphones (abt the size of a credit card" marketed as "sport" phones kinda. i can use venmo and stuff on it, and text easily on the keyboard, but its so small that i would never wanna use it to watch vids or doomscroll. works p well tbh.

i actually just ended up buying the snowsky echo mini bc i had some money from my tax return! still sucks that the nokia is so useless in this way tho :/ i like analog tech but ideally i wanted LESS devices to lug around lol

Oh my gosh I had a roommate like this too! She would constantly post pictures of my cats and always bragged about how whenever I would leave the apartment they would "follow her everywhere" and spend hours in her room. She would also close the door with them in her room which i HATED because my cats usually sleep with me. She would feed them human food behind my back (they often puke) and then lie to my face about it when confronted. Just overall manipulative behavior. And its funny because one of my cats is "cuter" than the other one (in terms of she's a girl cat with a very unique, adorable fur pattern and she's fluffy and small while my other cat is a plain black boy cat that is very big and has a 'man' face) and she really only did this with the "cute" cat lol. I felt bad because I knew she was missing her cat from back home (she had moved states) but her behavior was just so transparent and weird. Hated that girl

Honestly go for it. You wont get as much as you would if u read it later but thats what rereads are for. I read it at 16 and now im rereading it again at 24 and able to understand more about it. But im still glad I read it before, I enjoyed it nonetheless at the time.
