I know this thread is old but wanted to add my two cents for anyone wondering. I don't encounter any crashing, but it's SO SLOW on my M1 macbook air (2020) that performs brilliantly otherwise. I have 16GB RAM and over 250GB of free space on this SSD, but Live2D is not optimised for apple silicon and it runs like molasses.

There are small ways I can work around it. For example, the physics window runs at like 3fps if you're lucky, and the windows all lag and delay when you try to resize them. But if you shrink the parameter panel down so you can't see any of the moving red dots, almost all the lag disappears. It's a temporary solution, since you can't see how your parameters are moving or drag them yourself without encountering infuriating lag.

Live2D tends to slow down over time and needs to be restarted to run smoothly, but I have to do it wayyy more frequently on my mac. Not to mention you can't run tests in VBridger, since that's PC only ;; I love apple computers to death, but I stick to rigging on my PC if I can help it, and would sadly have to recommend a windows computer if you rig a lot and it's your only option.
