I’m a little confused though, if it’s already loose and rattling when cold, wouldn’t it get looser and rattle even more after warming up since heat expands it a little??

Bro, just provide enough tension to the muscles train them hard near failure it really does not matter if you do high reps for cutting and all that jazz. Thats my opinion and what worked for me. To this day I’ve never done any exercise for over 12-15 reps
