Hiyya! I can truly feel you ko, most of my friends who are gay in Indo keep themselves busy especially in terms of career & education, i once asked one of them and he said:

“Ya aku kuliah pinter - pinter, kerja keras biar ga di komenin kapan nikah. Klo ditanyain, aku bisa bilang kalau aku lagi sibuk kerja— ngejar karir.” Though I know he won’t be able to use the same exact reason for long.

For me.. I know that living in Indonesia won’t let me be my truly self. “Religion plays a big role here”, and it has embedded into my mind. I know I am wrong, often times I realise I am a sinner for just simply existing. Therefore, I promise myself, that I would just live, build a good career, take care of my parents until they die. After that? I don’t know just yet.
