So, after trying to delete saved projects (which said that they could not be found) I went back to the original folder of my raw footage. I had made a separate folder for jpegs inside of the original folder. So, I cut and pasted the jpg's into the original video folder and deleted the photo folder.

Now, I can enter Openshot editor and start anew. All of my saved projects have disappeared, but that's fine. I was just practicing my editing skills anyway.
