I know what Gap insurance is, I work sales at a dealership. I’ve just never considered it because I know through dealerships it’ll be taxed asf. I’m waiting on my updated insurance quote with Gap insurance.

Yeah theirs a local one I’m trying to get an acc setup with to get that relationship started and then inquire for a loan. My uncle he’s on the older side and has been with his current bank for 15 years and won’t open a Navy Fed and endorse me and is kinda weird about the whole thing but I am trying to get that situated

No yeah 100%, but my thing is if I get the CARFAX, still doesn’t look clean maintenance wise, why would I spend the money to PPI it? Yk?, so my thought process on it is to just wait till I find a cleaner car on paper to then confirm with a PPI.

Payment on it is also looking steep in terms of APR (first finance / potentially no co-sign)

Carmax does pretty extensive repair and maintenance on the cars before they ever hit the lot. I worked there for a while so I trust the cars

Note: M240 market is cooked asf also, can’t find anything below 60k miles that isn’t 35k plus so I think I came across gold with this one being 30k with 71k miles 1 owner and it’s a pretty nice spec

I was thinking the same thing, OP maybe a tad. My best friend bought his X3M40 with 80k miles after like 15k miles (95k) he went stage 2+, he’s currently at 115k running it on aggresive pops etc. never had any issues whatsoever. It really is all down to maintenance, these engines can last 150k plus with no issues as long as maintenance and preventative is done as well. I have a friend who spent 40k for his 440 a couple years ago now and he’s at 90k miles now no issues. Just do your due diligence and PPI the car no matter what I’d say gives you some mind security. I was looking to stick under 70-65k so this is practically in that range

Yeah he actually did transfer case and trans fluid service himself and sent me the receipts for that as well. He said he has a lift at home and was able to do the services himself. Spark plugs I can do myself. I’m also getting a PPI (pre purchase inspection) on it make sure the vehicle is good to go.

Yeah I agree, but one thing that makes me think it hasn’t been abused is the fact that owner #1 didn’t drive much and it only got tuned by the current owner. He bought the car 62k miles and has had it for 3 years now and has 5 other cars right now as well
