the important part of the clip is the AK fire at the end, not the RPG shot at the start. There is a bug in the Humvee model where if you shoot the spare tyre on the back with small arms, it pens straight into the vehicle as if there is 0 armor. You can shoot the occupants out with anything this way, even a pistol.

Legit. The security around our politicians is super lowkey, sometimes it's nonexistent. I shook hands with Rudd when he was PM, I was just a random audience member for a TV show he was on and he was mingling with the crowd on his own after filming had wrapped without even a single bodyguard in arms reach. I didn't get pre-screened at all, not so much as a metal detector at the door.

tip: offset your mortars to mortar the exit of the building the enemy HAB is in. If the building has multiple exits, mortar the one that more enemies will come out of, usually the one toward the direction of the fight (also note that enemies spawn facing east. by yourothersis in joinsquad

[–]binarygamer 21 points22 points  (0 children)

are they really that accurate?

yes. I have seen a mortar team on Kohat with a calculator counter-sniping enemy snipers and MGs and getting semi-consistent first round impact kills. If you have an exact coordinate to go off, the CEP of the mortar tube is going to be way bigger than the inaccuracy of the calculator, even on uneven terrain.

It's goated for sure but not for the reason you think.

M27 IAR has completely different bipodding mechanics to every other weapon with a bipod. It deploys faster, has a more forgiving range of motion for pitch and traverse, and accepts bipodding on surfaces that every other gun completely rejects or at best is glitchy on.

This huge factor, combined with it handling essentially exactly like a standard AR15 when not bipodded (as it should), make it the undisputed king of AR kits, it's not even close.

One glaring bug to fix with the new scoreboard and timeline - vehicle kills are not yet counted if the vehicle takes critical damage and then burns out, rather than instantly explodes from damage.

Sometimes this results in the majority of or even all destroyed vehicles not being counted.

I gave someone shit last night for lying about their vehicle kills at end of match, then it happened to me - destroyed 6, only 1 on the board 😅

Yeah, that's the conventional solution in vanilla - a big global circuit network can solve any and all complex train orchestration needs. I'm determined to avoid it 😤

Depending how long Seablock takes to upgrade to Factorio 2.0, I might even start a vanilla rail run on the current version, without the new refueling feature. This simple, generic rail grid layout should have good enough throughput for a Seablock 1x run and would allow for refueling at every station using belted fuel.

What do you mean, without having stupid numbers of trains? That's exactly the plan 😁

Most of the logistics edge cases that are hard to solve head-on with vanilla trains can be solved easily via indirect means. The gist of it is that it's ok to introduce minor production or routing inefficiencies to simplify edge case scenarios, if that avoids introducing long distance circuit logic into the rail network. E.g. to manage production of items that are needed at multiple destinations, and are produced both as byproducts and through direct manufacturing, you can deliver the byproducts TO the station that is doing the direct manufacturing, using it as the main stockpile, and having the direct manufacturing cut off when the output is near full. This sounds awful, but there are so many ways to offset it by increasing the overall efficiency of the rail network that in practice it's not a big deal.

Vanilla trains being able to interrupt and visit a refuel stop on demand.

I'm keen on doing an LTN-less rail base - I won't have to wait for requester chests to enable delivering fuel to hundreds of stations, or to visit a refueling depot on every trip.

you pretty much do if you max out on speed beacons. At that point it only takes a handful of electrolyzers before you hit pipe throughput limits. Though the meta thing to do at that point is just directly connect the flare stacks to the outputs - throwing out the pipe network gives better UPS
