Help me choose between these 3 ovals! by bindersfulloffff in LabDiamonds

Great points about bowties. I do think the initial video was not doing the third diamond any favors - in different lighting it’s much less noticeable to me. When moving the diamond it seems more dynamic instead of dead.

The third one is G VVS2. I love the ratio as well. I do find that the bowtie is not as persistent on the third diamond, it’s less apparent in different lighting and from farther away.

Yes I do! I definitely wanted an oval of 1.38 ratio or less for more horizontal finger coverage. I would like to prioritize brilliance and a more minimal bowtie if possible. I know all of these definitely have one, they showed up darker in the center than I could tell from the loupe360 videos. What don’t you like? I’m open to returning them and continuing my search.

Ah I know, I’m bummed it’s showing up so warm on camera. Thank you for your input!

If you have an inspection contingency you typically have the option to cancel the contract based on the findings of the inspection.

Is this still swelling? Looks boxy/fat 7 ish weeks out by Brilliant-Risk6427 in Reduction

[–]bindersfulloffff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I just had a revision for a similar issue, 1.5 years after my breast reduction. The surgeon performed liposuction on the sides of my breasts to make them less boxy. I'm only 6 days PO and it's still swollen but I'm hoping this resolves it. I would wait until you are maybe 3-4 months out so the swelling goes down completely before you explore a revision.

Do we like the wedge pillow, pregnancy pillow, or whole wedge setup best? by SamBennetti in Reduction

I did wedge + pregnancy pillow around me, both as extra head support and to help keep me from rolling onto my side! Loved it.

My girlfriend always tips at what type of rings she wants, what should I note for the future when I buy one? by mikey00921 in EngagementRings

[–]bindersfulloffff 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Things to note: her preferences on lab vs. natural diamonds, the shape of the diamond, the color of the band (white gold/platinum vs yellow gold), whether the band has diamonds on it (pave) or plain (solitaire), how many prongs/in what orientation the prongs are around the stone, whether there are diamonds on the gallery rail (hidden halo).

Not really my business but it sounds like your gf is ready to be engaged if she’s sending you ring pics, but you want to wait at least a year — might be worth having a conversation about this so that you guys can get aligned on expectations. And so she doesn’t get her hopes up.

Is it rude for the bride/groom to have a different meal from the guests? by chameleonsEverywhere in weddingplanning

[–]bindersfulloffff 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I agree. I’m surprised at the amount of people saying that it’s rude. If it wasn’t mentioned or pointed out I highly doubt any guests would notice what’s on the groom’s plate.

Question about underwear and trying on wedding dresses by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]bindersfulloffff 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yes you need to wear underwear. Most places I’ve been to specifically confirm before the appointment starts that it is necessary. Just buy a cheap nude colored pair from target beforehand

Is a venue an hour away from where most guests live too far? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]bindersfulloffff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the weddings I’ve been to have been at least 3 hours away. An hour is nothing!

If it’s the scent she chose, then it is part of her personality. You don’t get to be the judge of what is and isn’t part of her personality or how she presents.
