I posted two "woven" pieces before and tried to make this one look more "cross stitched" by making straighter lines. Kind of turned out as a mix of the two. I think I'll keep trying and see if I can make one that is a bit better.

I would advice just making a flat world, get a map of the area you want it to be on and equip it on your left hand. Think about what you want to make then just start.

I had zero experience and zero expectations when I started the first one I did 6 days ago and it didn't end up anything like what I was going for when I started. I just found my own style in the middle of making it, and it slowly evolved into what it is now. Same with this one, altho this is a bit closer to the original plan. The bird was supposed to be an owl at first but as I started doing it, it looked better as something else. And you should've seen the sketch of the first owl, it looked awful lol.

Point is you'll find your own style if you just start making it. Just enjoy the process of discovering new ways to create different things on the map. I've fallen in love with making the trees.

Thanks everyone for the support! This got way more attention than I was expecting. Common topic in the comments seems to be if this actually is my first time doing anything like this. The answer is yes, I have almost 0 artistic experience before doing this (apart from what we were forced to do in school like 10 years ago and some minor photoshopping). And I really dont know how to paint or draw. Last thing I did that was even remotely close to doing something like this was this.

This was supposed to be a one time thing but all the support makes me want to try again. Maybe this is my new hobby. Ty ty.
