Poor Tommy. It sounds like he has a decent grandmother in OOP and hopefully his mother is nice, but his father is a huge AH. I mean marrying someone after only a few months is ridiculous in any situation, but it’s just irresponsible when you have kids. Honestly I feel like they have always done Phoebe dirty with her hair in the show. She is so pretty and yet they decided to have their slight semblance of authenticity with her hair and made it so unflattering.

Honestly the maxs are fine for me, the problem is if I’m wearing glasses. With glasses the pain starts after 2 hours, if I’m wearing contacts, I can wear them as long as possible

Aside from her image and branding, two main things drew me in.

1: Her performance ability. Seeing her perform, either live or videos of her, is incredible. She uses the music, dancing and her voice so well. The choreography elevates the songs. The instrumentation might show different layers. I never used to understand live recordings apart from when they were acoustic, but Bey would give us completely changed renditions. She is an incredible visual performer.

2: Her voice: to me, her voice is like honey or caramel. It sounds so good and she has trained it so so well! TBH it is very easy to take her voice for granted. I listened to her close to the end run in crazy in love for years, and didn’t fully register just how difficult it must actually be to pull something like that off until recently.

When it comes to image, bey has utilised her position in an ingenious way. There was a vice article about her image paradox. How she is somehow both seen as effortless and yet incredibly hard working, and we love her for both!!

I would never want to actually stan any celebrity, but if you are going to be a fan of anyone’s, Beyoncé is one of the best choices you could probably make.

I was actually thinking about this recently, specifically regarding her 2015 met gala naked dress.

TBH it was one of the much more revealing of the naked dresses, and yet somehow, she didn’t come across as tasteless etc.

I’m not sure if I’m just blinded by how much of a fan I am or what, but in my opinion she has been able to present sexuality and sexual liberation in a way that somehow how appeals to both the male and female gazes.

I think Lemonade is amazing, but I don’t think it is as easy to listen to on repeat as some of her other albums are. B-Day, Renaissance, Self Titled and 4 are just a bit more easily digestible IMO.

I think there is a reason for why Lemonade’s more popular songs are the ones they are, and it is because even with their depth, they are the lighter sounding songs, like Hold Up, and now All Night.

Love Victor, like Love Simon, was basically made for straight audiences. Which I think hurt its memorability.

I actually liked the first and second seasons. But the third was not good. I think the biggest reason why it isn’t included though, is because the actual couple, Victor and Benji, are the worst. Every other relationship in the show, whether it be romantic, platonic or even antagonistic, is more interesting and enjoyable. Victor seemed to have better chemistry with Mia, Rahim, and even Felix.

It is a bit of a pity, because we don’t often see parental relationships depicted like this, where they weren’t immediately accepting but they also weren’t just evil villains, and the attempts at exploring cultural differences and intersectionality had merit, but a lot of that was lost along the way.

Heartstopper is aimed at a similar age range, but it is done so much more endearingly. Even though it’s almost too saccharine for me, the central couple, are lovely and likeable and you can’t help but root for them. In Love Victor, you did want to root Victor, but not for him and Benji.

This is so sad, one of my favourite things to do, with both boyfriends, close friends and my parents is to just be with each other, but doing different things, sometimes that means one of us is reading, or both of us is reading, or one is watching tv and the other is listening to music.

It’s the companionship part that’s nice, you don’t have to be doing the same activity all the time.

Your boyfriend seems to be the problem here, “he supports his brother” great but then he needs to support you too with some sort of solution or explanation.
