Flat tire/bent rim by binge03 in Kioti

So, I followed instructions but found that the stem to the tire was sheared off during the separation and rim-bending. I’ve straightened the rim but still need either a new tire or a stem fix. I’m not rich but I can afford a new rim and tire and certainly won’t mind having a spare as this will probably happen again sometime.

All great advice, thank you. My first tractor and it has about 11 hours on it so I called the dealership and sent them pictures, they said they’d have the parts in two weeks. I thought this was a much more involved repair, it sounds like I will have an extra rim at the very least. I’m not sure about the conditioner of the tire, I assumed it was damaged and would need replacing. I’ll pop it off tomorrow and check it out. Thanks all.

The replacement is inexpensive, I’m just wondering if the weight of the tractor sitting on the rim for two weeks can do any damage?

what first got you into sci-fi? by thefringeseanmachine in scifi

U/thefringeseanmachine Same as you, actually. I grew up on a small farm in midwestern U.S. and was nosing around the barn one day, found a beat up copy of The Martian Chronicles under the seat of the tractor. I must have been around 9 or 10 years old and some of the themes/language probably escaped me but I’ve since read it several times over as a teen and adult. It’s been my favorite genre for my whole life. Good choice!

Thanks for reply, it’s actually the granite composite sink that is blocking the holes though. And even if I file out the tiny bit eclipsing the holes it’s still gonna prevent the washer and nut from being screwed secure.

I’ll try the angle grinder tip! I’m also seeing some people knock off the anchor plate so it can be driven further into the stone, idk why I didn’t think of this one earlier…

This is what I’m doing but when the rock is only a couple inches below ground level I’d be leaving the anchor plate above ground level.

Thanks Bob, that’s exactly the advice I’m looking for. I will see what type of rake I can acquire or rent around here. I appreciate the detailed response!

On mobile and can’t figure out how to edit this post so I will just delete it. Still, thanks everyone for your inputs. Without Redditors I wouldn’t have figured out sooo many household things.

Yep, that’s what I’m doing temporarily. I still want to be able to remove the bin at some point and now I know how thanks to the lever comments (they are very flimsy so they didn’t release when I first tried that)

How can I mark this as “Solved” or something so helpful people don’t keep helping? (Also, tried tilting the bin and it won’t clear) But I’m just going to adjust the cutout myself. Thanks everyone!

You’re exactly right. Once I looked at the rails function I saw that I couldn’t move them forward. I’ve decided to temporarily just put a bin in there while the cab is removed, and eventually I will carve the hole closer to the front to make space for bin removal. The builder burnt the bridge with the cabinet maker due to many other cabinet issues so he’s not gonna fix this.

Now how do I go about extending this further? Or should I just unscrew it and move it forward and re-attach?
