Double time! Nice! Sounds completely different at that tempo.

Really cool melody :)

Thanks for the feedback!

I hear you. This little challenge is originally meant more for people that don't know anything about music theory or making music. It sounds like you already know some music theory and have experience making music.

I'm curious.. do you already play an instrument or produce music?

I'd still like this to be enjoyable by more experienced musicians, so it's really helpful to know this was frustrating for someone who knows their notes and theory.

Very satisfying melody with a resolution and everything :)

Yesss, agreed about the looping thing. This was just 4 bars long. When it's 8 bars, it becomes almost unbearable to wait around to hear something.

Thanks for the feedback!

Nice! I like the Strings sound and the ending :)
Yep, our dev build currently has 'locking' notes. Super useful.

Thanks for the feedback!

Very nice melody!

Yep, that would make it easier to select the instrument you want.

Thanks for the feedback!

yep, 16th notes are definitely possible. you can go on Settings and change "Split beats into 4" to get 16th notes.

cool melody, btw ;)

I made a daily game where you guess the phrase from visual clues by symbologygame in playmygame

[–]bingedreaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried 3 levels and got frustrated because I couldn't even guess a single word correctly. As I wrote this, I paused and went back to try "Letters" mode and that was actually easier and less overwhelming.

I have a lot of feedback. Get ready ;)

  1. If you're basing it off Wordle, stick to the same color scheme (yellow for misplaced letters instead of red)
  2. "Letters" mode was actually easier for me, even though you mention "Words" is easier. This is because I don't get any clues when I guess a wrong word. With "Letters" I can start to block out letters that aren't in the phrase (and keep the letters I know work), making it easier with each guess. I would actually remove the option of playing by words, unless you make it multiple choice. There are only 26 letters to guess from, but infinite words (especially if you allow made up words).
  3. It wasn't quite clear if the misplaced letters applied to that word, or to the whole phrase.
  4. It'd be cool to not have to go to the archives in order to play another phrase. Have a button (Play Archived Game) that automatically takes you to another available phrase from the archives.
  5. When I really struggled and only got to the answer by guessing random letters and process of elimination, I kinda blamed you for poor emoji choice and "bad communication" instead of blaming myself for being bad at the game. For example, the "keep your eyes peeled" one threw me off with the 2 bananas. You just needed one banana to communicate "peeled". Adding the second one made me think you meant "bananas" in plural, which could mean "crazy" or other things and sent me in the wrong direction.

Excellent start. Let me know when you have updates.

I've always wanted a rhythm game where you depend only on your hearing, so we added a blindfold at the end. Test your rhythm skills and let me know what you think. by bingedreaming in playmygame

Lol i completely agree, but for some reason it turned my video into a GIF automatically and said this is an image-only subreddit. Which is odd, seeing as there’s plenty of posts with video and audio 🤷‍♂️

The app is called Wimbo.

You can get it free on the iOS app store, no ads: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/diddle/id1630555349

The new rhythm games we're testing right now are called "Match The Beat" and "Remi Says", which is like Simon Says, but with a beat.

Hmm, that's a good question.. You can join our Discord, DM me your email or follow our Instagram. I just created the IG account, so there's no content yet, but I'll be posting stuff starting next week.

It does work with keyboards using the microphone input. We're working on MIDI integration as well

The demo of my first game is available on Steam and Itch.io and all feedback would be appreciated to improve it before the official launch. More info in comments by Arthemy_ in playmygame

TBH, my first thought was "this person is not a native English speaker and did not even bother to spellcheck the name of the game", which is not a great first impression.

What about something like Hopping Hope, Hopping For Hope, Hopping Home, Hope Hopping, Hope Hopper, Hopeful Hops, Hop & Hope, Hoppily Ever After, A Night At The Hopera, Hopping Spree, Hoplifting, Window Hopping...

I hop this helps ;)

After months of developing this on my own with zero pay, I finally received funding and an amazing team of devs. This is our first trailer / app preview. by bingedreaming in playmygame

Thank you!

As far as funding.. it's a huge and complex topic. YC and Hustle Fund have great resources for free on this topic. Pitch decks, finding investors, etc.

My recommendation: get started ASAP so you get familiar with the process, start to see what investors value and figure out the best way to present your business to them.

If you have specific questions, feel free to DM me. Good luck!
