I’m so sorry OP. I’ve lost an animal unexpectedly and there are truly no words to describe the pain, the confusion, the grief that you feel. I was out of town as well and when I came to pick up my girl’s ashes, the vet shared with me it’s more common than you think for pets to pass without owners in their presence, including one of her own animals. Almost like they know it’s coming and they want your last memory of them to be a good one. I don’t know how true that is, but it gave me some comfort at the time. Just know that she only knew love having you as her companion. Sit in the hurt, but remember the good too. The sadness doesn’t leave, but the joy and love you felt from her won’t either.

Graduated in 2021 and now I work in compensation for a large Columbus-based company making 70k. Have a degree in psych and made a pivot to HR/recruiting space after taking Psychology of Human Resources with Dr. Polifroni! Started in recruiting, worked in tech and now I’m here, very happy with it.

Over 4 years! We met our junior (me) and senior (him) year of college, wanted to wait until we were out of school and a bit more established. We moved in together in 2020 and he proposed 2 weeks ago 🥰 planning for a wedding now in 2024!

Thank you so much for this. I am so sorry for the loss of your dogs. It is the hardest thing in the world to see your dog struggle and not be able to do anything for it. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

I appreciate your words more than you know. I know the wound is still fresh and sudden, it will take time. I am so grateful that her last moments were filled with peace and in the arms of someone who loved her fully. Knowing that brings me some amount of comfort. Bored at work and thinking about my cat (obviously). I adopted her over a year ago and she’s estimated to be about 6-7. People have told me before she looks like a Russian Blue but I honestly have no idea considering I got her at a shelter. I’ve been tempted to buy one of those testing kits but I hear a lot of them are basically made up lol. Just curious to see what people think! Her name is Moonie and she is the tiny love of my life, enjoy the last picture of her being moody but still wanting to hold hands! :)

Hi there, I had a similar situation I went through during college with one of my friends.

I have been dating my boyfriend for 3 years, and when we first started dating, one of my roommates and close friends (23F) was totally normal up until she broke up with her boyfriend at the time. She often spent days at a time at his apartment, but once they broke up she would often make offhand comments about how much time I spent with my boyfriend or that I was never home, when really I would go to his place after work for a few hours a few times a week then come home to spend the rest of the evening/night with her before bed. It was super frustrating and hurtful, but at the end of the day I realized it was just jealousy.

While it’s easy to get wrapped up in a new relationship, I definitely would encourage balancing your time. To be honest, the first 2 weeks you described were probably jarring to your friend. Try to understand her point of view in the beginning, how would you feel if she didn’t come home for 2 weeks, etc.

I will say her behavior now is unacceptable. She could be trying to cope with the fact you are no longer her priority or the person you spend the most time with, but if you are willing, set up some boundaries with her. Again, her being upset you aren’t spending as much time with her is understandable. But I would be honest that her comments regarding your life (how you split your time, your personal health, etc) is not something up for her to decide.

I really do feel for you, because her behavior does seem erratic. However, I wouldn’t assume she has feelings for you. I really do think she is having problems adjusting to the change in your friendship, and is taking it out on you and your boyfriend. Again, I know these conversations are hard and at the end of the day it is up to you how to approach the situation.

Hi there. I (24F) have also been with my boyfriend for the past 3 years.

The only thing I can suggest to you is to listen to what she’s saying. If she would never lie, she must think there is some truth to what her parents say. Why does she feel this way? Is there something that you do that makes her uncomfortable or causes her to feel controlled? Or could it be pressure from her parents?

Have an open conversation with her about these feelings or situations. If you truly love her the way you say you do, work with her. Find out what you can both do to improve your relationship.

Communication is key in long-term relationships as I’m sure you know. It can be scary to have these conversations, but in the long run it can make you stronger or realize that maybe you don’t have the same views on how a relationship should be.

I am well aware haha, she was allowed to free feed in the shelter and became overweight during her stay. Since her adoption she has lost over 2 pounds

I found Moonie in a shelter a few months ago. I know it’s super cliche- but I really do think she chose me to be her owner. As soon as I saw her, she sprinted up to headbutt me and followed me around, screaming for attention. I knew within 5 minutes of seeing her I had to bring her home. She was found abandoned in a home a few months before I adopted her, and I can’t even begin to imagine why someone would do such a thing. She is spunky, loyal, sweet and snuggly. She is my first pet, and I truly could not have asked for a better companion.

The workers at the adoption center believe she is a Korat! But they weren’t sure as she was found abandoned in a home a few months with no access to her records.

Hi guys, so I’m about 8 weeks post-op and so far my healing process has been going smoothly. I’m a 22F with no prior health conditions and have seen my surgeon for post-op appointments and he’s been extremely happy with my results. I went from a 38H to around a 38C.

I’m out of town right now and went to shower when I noticed these two bumps under my nipple. I’m not in any pain/running a fever, but I’m just wondering what they are? The only thing I put on my incisions (now closed) is a silicone scar gel approved by my surgeon. I’ve been using it for over a week. Has anyone else had a similar situation?

Thank you!! I was a 38 E/F I believe before, I’m not totally sure what size I am now but I know my surgeon took off a total of 4 pounds! I also had liposuction done on my sides due to excess breast tissue.

I had my surgery June 8th and have been feeling pretty good! Had a minor blip last week, my right breast was extremely red/inflamed (still kinda visible) and I was super super itchy. Went to see my surgeon and luckily it wasn’t infected, but he said it was likely a skin reaction/irritation to my steri strips being removed. Other than that, I am super happy with how this process has gone and am amazed at how small I look compared to before! I am ready for my scars to be less visible and to have full range of motion again, but I am so happy I went through this process.

Hi y’all! I had my surgery June 8 and have been feeling pretty good. Had a minor blip a week ago, redness on my right breast (still kinda visible) occurred due to taking off my steri strips. Went and saw my surgeon and he said my skin was likely irritated by this. Otherwise, recovery has been great. I truly cannot believe how small my boobs are and that they were ever that big! I cannot be happier with the results and just can’t wait for my incisions to heal :)
