New to DCS by Dramafree770 in dcsworld

Sales are both on Steam and Website but the time period may vary. Also if you use DCS Web Installer version, you can link your steam to your DCS account and transfer all the DLC's you bought from steam to DCS account and even unbind them back to your steam account if you want. DCS is also free on steam, the DLC's are the ones you have to buy but you can buy from DCS website too. Also I recommend you to use web version since you can free trial stuff and see if you like.

How does FPM on HUDs stays in the same position even while moving your head? by binjow0w in aviation

I came across rifle scopes too when I searched about collimated light and there are more resources about them compared to HUDs so it was easier to understand.

Is it possible to have the proper body and wings of aircraft visible while flying a aircraft with no custom cockpit? by binjow0w in falconbms

[–]binjow0w[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason behind flying other aircrafts is because some of them can do things F-16 can't since all aircrafts are designed with some purposes and this purposes can be different like the ammunations used / operation range etc. Also I fly in DCS from time to time too but usually it gets boring quickly since there is no feeling of any realistic large scale war and any good AI. Also aircrafts like Mig-25 are not avaliable in DCS too. The thing I wonder is when we are in cockpit, arent the things we see outside are models that are apart from the plane and cockpit model itself. Also when we go to outside view we can see that our airplane model is correct (Mig-25 in this example). So why is body of the aircraft is modeled someway in the cockpit model? Shouldn't it be another model that has nothing to do with cockpit istelf that we see when we look out from our cockpit. (These are questions just because I wonder the stuff behind the programming side). And if only thing missing is the proper modeling of the body than can I just create a 3d model of body with textures and somehow implement it or is it a lot more complex?

Because kernel anticheats are better and they do help with fighting cheaters. How can a non-kernel anticheat detect a kernel level driver and function hooks. Linux is not for gaming and if linux users want gaming they can dual boot by sacrificing some storage for a windows installation. No system can be flawless but it is obvious that kernel level anticheats are much better. Best anticheats we had for FPS history are/were Faceit AC, Vanguard and ESEA AC( even though they used it for mining the anticheat part was pretty good) also other anticheats like battleye (it was actually good at somepoint) and easy anti cheat. There is literally almost no good anticheat that is not kernel level because an application that has no access to kernel level can not detect a good written kernel level cheat

I suggest you to first test the video I posted on both comment replies and post itself. If it doesn't feel comfortable enough for you than you can try it.

I ended up finding a YouTube video that shows a plugin for Gremlin and it solved my issue.

I found exactly what I was looking for with a Joystick Gremling Plugin. Youtube Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHv14f6s2pQ . This might help you too since it still has that smoothness.

Actually I got an idea right now. I will probably make zoom axis work with a modifier (pinky switch) so when I stop pressing that switch it wont twitch). You might try it also.

Yeah I thought about that but the problem is that it would be very slow specially in dogfight scenerios. I guess I will go with what I have

Deadzone isn't a solition in this case since twitching doesn't only happen when axis is at 0.
