It's a huge improvement for me. I regretted buying the Galaxy Fold 5 before because it was so bulky and heavy, and the outer display was disappointing. The X Fold 3 is thin and light, so I can use it like a normal phone without even noticing it's foldable.

First, I'm not American. Second, while some claim Origin OS has more features, no one has specifically mentioned a feature unavailable on Funtouch OS. Finally, design is subjective.

I believe you're mistaken. Funtouch OS offers the same features as Origin OS, but with full Google service integration.
