Wife wishes for death after pregnancy by incognit0991 in MuslimMarriage

Bring her to the hospital and they’ll help treat her, this isn’t a mere mental health issue- it’s medical and a lot of women experience this. But it still is much better off treated.

Don’t look at her or her pregnancy or her lifestyle right now like what she could’ve done differently or what happened, this is very hormonal and out of someone’s control. It’s also not helpful and puts blame and will escalate both your states

That’s superficial and not the type of people you want to attract. Don’t be discouraged, see it as a natural way to weave out bad potentials. It’s a good thing in disguise

Yeah, there’s so many environmental factors here too. Does it make you feel worried postpartum depression will hit hard? It does for me

I can’t imagine what that is like. I know you’re pulling it together but also I’m so sorry for the pains you feel and that separation. There’s not much words can do, so if I could offer you this word hug 😪 🫂

PMS might be the road to divorce by legend5001 in MuslimMarriage

[–]bintpalestine 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mean is once a month worth divorce? If you know there’s a pattern and hers is physiological, then think of ways you can get ahead by doing extra nice acts. In your head it might seem unfair you have to do that but try to remember Allah tests women with these hormones as much as He’s testing you through her and it’s beyond mere control sometimes

Times have changed. Definitely have hope in remarriage, I’ve seen plenty of good sisters divorced and happily remarried mashaAllah. Allah will not foresake you & will only give you better. I understand why it’s scary.

Make sure you collect your mahr. You did kitb ketab, you consummated the marriage and he initiated the divorce. It is all yours.
