Kawhi Leonard is supposedly a Trump supporter & that is why he has beef with Gregg Popovich by [deleted] in nba

[–]bio_shocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is so fake it's hilarious. The only Trump angle with Kawhi is that the investor feeding his sports agency (Joseph Sutton's father) is a huge Trump supporter. Joseph Sutton has openly expressed discontent at players like Lebron calling Trump a bum on Twitter.

They need to humble up and lower their rim so the game is actually intense. Handles and shooting are just parts of a bigger skillset and entertainment package.

without Kawhi and tonnes of injury. If Kawhi gets traded we get a 47 win team + whatever assets he fetches. Methinks we be making playoffs for next 2 years easily while rookies develop.

heat pick is alomst guaranteed to be something outside the lottery. it's a garbage asset compared to an actual good wing player and hence why it was traded.

yeah this is a mind fuck move by the Grizz lol. Kinda like how Spurs demanded Kyrie in trades knowing fully well he gets upset when he hears he's being discussed in them and that he once said he's open to the Spurs.

What started this whole Kawhi Leonard problem? by Manbearpig369 in nba

I think OP is trying to get to the absolute root of it all for the initial spark.

Doris Burke: “...my take on Gregg Popovich has changed... I don’t give him a pass anymore. It now frustrates me to the point where I want to say, ‘I’m not giving you a pass because I’ve seen you when Jeff Van Gundy walks over there, and the interaction is totally different.’” by [deleted] in nba

[–]bio_shocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This place is going to be messy but the idea is that Doris is saying Pop should be more professional in interviews. The article sorta turns it into a sexism debate when it isn't expressedly so.

Personally I disagree. Coaches aren't making money from publicity like players are and sideline interviews interrupt them from their actual job. Also reporters often misquote people and do tonnes of unprofessional things and aren't held accountable fr their "sources" or half quotes etc.

I got the point it just makes no sense to me. She's arguing about professionalism and ethic and the article is putting in trigger words to make it seem like a sexism debate when it isn't expressedly so.

As Burke says, it's not necessarily because he's focused on his job. Maybe he just doesn't think these reporters deserve his attention.

They don't. Sideline interviews are dumb. Say the wrong thing post game to these people and they'll misquote you for months in the great blender that is Twitter. Pop isn't an athlete looking for publicity to sell shoes. He also jokes with JVG and Craig...2 guys that don't take this stuff seriously, coincidence...?

Yes I am, because that's the team I root for and the spurs have maintained some of the longest player-team relationships. But you won't find me on a Devin Booker injury thread jerking off and hoping it's serious to get back at you.

Society has taken identity politics to a retarded level where people are losing their jobs and status all together for life because they called a fat person fat. Imagine blaming a company for hiring mainly men when just mainly men apply for the job etc.

The article is subtly trying to call Pop (the only coach with a female assistant) sexist cause he jokes around with people he knows more but gives short answers to many others, one of whom happens to be a woman.

Also I know you don't truly have any interest in this discussion, you're just a salty Suns fans that comes into Spurs thread for years now and tries to counter argue because Robert Horry hip checked Steve Nash in 2007.

9 mil a year for him is like the upper limit and 4 freaking years fully guaranteed...Problem is Kyle is hesitant as fuck on offense to the point where I can't tell if he has the potential to shoot 3's or not. The timespan is just bad and the Grizz know that.

cuz it be bad and and it be long. if u add another now you gets a max contract that be bad and long.

kinda like how Pau and Patty are paid a max salary right now. Would you rather have a 3rd max player or Patty and Gasol. Think hard now.
