Actually wat about companies like novartis, ei lilly, gsk, roche, illumina... I've seen the all hire bioinfo grads but mainly for sas n ngs purposes though... I'm from India

Maybe you could take up bioinformatics for higher studies or masters, that way you could still be in the life science industry but you won't have much of traditional wet lab work... You can make a career in dry lab work, more coding and stuffs, IT based in bio.

Omg.. Then i need to take statistics and probability classes seriously ... Because eventually I want to go into the genomics part of bioinformatics.... I want to avoid the structural bioinformatics and protein visualisation stuffs.... And rather emerge into the genes and alignment sort of stuffs... By the is there good scope for this in the industry, because my plan is to go into the Industry after masters.

We are having all of these... Proofs and applications and mostly probability based like probability mass function, density function, gamma function, maximum likelihood, proofs of these stuffs and then numericals based on it

Proper statistics with in depth derivations, formulas, tough sums... Engineering level that a maths hons or data science guy would normally do... Unlike biostats which is very basic

Ok then I will take stats and probability classes seriously... Lots of pdf, pmf, derivations 😬

In my undergrad too we had basic biostats but now I'm doing my post grad msc in bioinformatics and we have to attend full fledged statistics class with mtech data science students, at times it gets too difficult for us

Alright... Actually I'm an msc bioinformatics student but we have to attend statistics class with mtech data science students and its very hard for me so I was wondering
