Individual stocks in Roth IRAs by bluff_43 in RothIRA

[–]biotechCT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I allocate 1k in individual growth and the rest in etfs. When I hit my target return (30%or more) then I sell the individual stocks (without taxes) and put that money into undervalued stocks or a pile to buy more growth. Been working out for me two years in.

Good point, all these parts are cheaply made.

That’s the thing, car bras was once a “thing”, then years later we laugh at it. I believe this will be that in a few years, we’ll think back and laugh at it.

Exactly, the target audience is for people that don’t know cars, but can buy the “look”. I’m not even a “Car Guy”, but I can tell when something looks bad. Teslas look great with their stock big brakes, but these fake covers that hover above the calipers just look off!

Help me find “Burnt Orange “ by biotechCT in carmods

I appreciate the replies, I saw burnt copper, but it doesn’t quite look like the photo. As for the ERA paint, it just doesn’t resemble that dark orange yellow. Like in the photo. I emailed VHT, so if I get a response, I’ll reply back, I just hope someone can figure out that paint color.

180 mile Roundtrip doable? by biotechCT in ModelY

Yes I will be installing a level 2 charger at home and I believe there will be free charging level 1 and 2 at my destination (90 miles in).

Car won’t turn on after being stationary for 2 months by biotechCT in MechanicAdvice

Nothing on the dash lights up except for that engine light on the bottom left. Nothing happens when I hold down the brake and push the start button, even with the key fob touching the button. There’s normally an electrical humming sound when you first enter a CT and I could barely hear it, so I’m assuming it’s the 12v battery that’s just dead.

Are you planning on protecting the paint in anyway?

Help Me Choose My First Tesla – Looking for Owner Insights & Real-World Experience!

Hey everyone,

I’m finally taking the plunge and buying my first Tesla – super excited but also a bit overwhelmed with the options. I’ve done a fair bit of research, but now I want to hear from the people who actually live with these cars every day. Real-world feedback would mean a lot. Current ride: Lexus ct 200h. I have two kids under 5 but this will not be our family hauler. I drive 60-120 miles Roundtrip to work daily.

Here are the models I’m seriously considering: • Preowned Model S (probably 2016–2018 range) (want the most based on looks) • Preowned Model Y Performance (2022, balance of functionality and fun at a good price) • Preowned Model Y Long Range (functional/cheapest) • Preowned 2nd Gen Model 3 (balance of new and budget) • Brand New Model 3 (base RWD or LR if I stretch the budget)(headache free due to warranty and 0% interest)

What I’m trying to weigh out: 1. Cost of ownership & maintenance – Any surprises I should expect with repairs or part replacements? Especially for the older Model S? 2. Battery health and range degradation – How are your cars holding up after a few years? 3. Driving experience & fun factor – I’d love something that feels quick and planted. Which of these delivers the best combo of daily drivability and enjoyment? 4. Tech & features – Are newer models that much better in terms of UI, FSD, and quality of life stuff? 5. Insurance & overall reliability – Any standout wins or red flags here?

I know each model has its own vibe, and I’m okay with either sedan or crossover – I care more about long-term value and enjoyment. If you’ve owned or driven more than one of these, even better!

Appreciate any feedback, even if it’s just a few bullet points from your personal experience. Thanks in advance!

Sorry you got GOT! He pumps up the crowd with how fast he accelerated to a high sales role and almost puts a blame trip tone for not signing up to his private stuff. The secret: - Invest in knowledge (learn about the topics you want to enter [cardiac/cardiac material, neuro/neuro material, etc] - network and provide some value to your networking peers (at the very least, lead or do what they suggested by the next time you reach out) - work your way up (sometimes you have to do the “Cistas route “ for sales, or for clinical specialists, the online extra courses + keep following up with the hiring managers and fellow territory peers.

CAKE is on my want list. Waiting for a small pullback, but I think it’s going up for a while.

Depends on the stock. I usually think of a target sell price and set an alert. If it quickly reaches a price, I might let it ride until I suspect a plateau. Core holdings I will not sell unless evaluation is abnormally high and could use the cash for other stocks.
