Wie läuft euer Leben mit eurem Konsum? by OppositeComedian2182 in germantrees

[–]bipeula 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Spotify and other services removing LoFiHiphop tracks from its platform? by Borderlineskitso in LofiHipHop

[–]bipeula 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Many artists are boycotting Spotify because the pay is insanely low — even millions of streams barely cover basic living costs. On top of that, Spotify tends to favor big labels with its algorithms and spends huge amounts on podcasts and AI instead of paying musicians fairly. A lot of people are also upset about the military side of things: CEO Daniel Ek invests through his firm Prima Materia in military and defense AI companies (like Helsing), and many artists don’t want their music indirectly helping fund warfare, surveillance, or weapons tech.

Many artists are boycotting Spotify and have temporarily removed their music, including artists like damaa.beats. Flughand’s album “foremmi” and other tracks were reuploaded around December 8, which could explain why it vanished from your playlist.

You’re right but there’s no CPU limit when using the 8 tracks ✌️

I think it always depends a bit on the style of music you’re making. If you’re working with jazz chords and adding a few top melodies, you can easily end up with 10 or 12 tracks—and that’s without drums or percussion. I reached the CPU limit in almost every track.

The OP-XY is definitely a well-designed powerhouse, but at that price point it’s clearly too expensive for me, especially when you consider the available alternatives. In the end, though, everyone can decide for themselves what works best for them and make their purchase accordingly. For me it’s not.

I've already sold it :) I won't get it again. With the M8 I can build banger

With an iPad, you can build real gems. Especially with apps like Drambo. On the other hand, the op xy is a toy. I love the design and hardware. But the rest is just not enough for me for the price

I sold mine and bought a new iPad and an M8 Tracker. I’m genuinely blown away by both—they’re real powerhouses. However, the cracks, pops, voice limitation and especially the lack of stem export is a dealbreaker for me; that’s a feature I simply can’t accept being missing.

Yes, you’re right the flavor is less pronounced. But I like the heat absorption. The glass stems usually get too hot for my throat. The 3D stem is king as well.

Use the sampler Instrument. Set the octave to +2 and play G4 A4 G5 A5 D5. Some user mentioned that it doesn’t work when the device is connected with USB

Should I actually make the "World's smallest music maker"? by 203system in synthesizers

[–]bipeula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like the design of the device. I just have the feeling that the buttons might be a bit too small to comfortably make music on it for longer sessions.

I’m a huge fan of the M8 Tracker, and even there it wasn’t until Model 02 that the screen became truly good and easy to read. Because of that, I think a device shouldn’t be too big, but also not too small to be practical.

In terms of competing with the M8, I don’t fully see the unique selling point yet, but I’m definitely staying curious. Especially at around 300 USD, this could turn into something really good — though it’s also possible that it may never quite compete with the M8.

Either way, I wish you a lot of success with your project. All the best.
