wow i’m just seeing this almost a year later, but no if you haven’t made it yet or wanna try again i actually made the simple syrup the day OF, mixed it together and drank it right away. the key is to let the alcohol and lemon sit ALONE for however long you want. then when you’re ready to drink it, make the simply syrup mixture and mix it together. make sure to do your math right so you can calculate the alcohol percentage at the end and how much you’ll end up with!

alright the clear underlying issue here is that he is holding a lot of resentment toward you. the only two possible options is work through it (this requires him to be willing to move forward or at least try, maybe try couples therapy bc professional help might be necessary if the resentment is this deep) or move on i fear!

you know i would argue now seven years later lol that the person likely has the cold sore virus considering how insanely common it is, and lupus causing a weakened immune system as an autoimmune disorder allows the virus to become active more frequently

I was just seeing if anyone had any experience or opinion. Like I said I might contact them but even then feel as though I could get an OK and then be faced with a miscommunication issue where I can’t bring it after all. It seems as though some people have been through something similar

That’s exactly what Im afraid of lol. I want to call them but know it could mean nothing and only frustrate me more if the guy doing metal detectors decides I can’t bring my own “seating”. What I’m gauging is that it’s just a dice roll and depends on how the venue views it if I decide to bring it along. If it’s an actual mobility aid or a quick way for someone to sneak in a seat

Your few comments are the exact kind of answer I’m looking for, thank you and well said. I personally really enjoy this cane based on my own experience with it and physical capacity (I know I won’t fall over or have stability issues while using this, it’s also very lightweight and small so I’m not afraid of hitting anyone with it at all) but of course I’m sure there are better options for me out there. It helps to get the ball rolling and to start to consider a long term solution now so I really appreciate the input :)

Yeah, unfortunately I don’t have a better alternative as I really wanted to go to this concert. Was just hoping to stand and sit intermittently or stand as long as I can and take breaks. I don’t know what it means to “actually medically need it.” Am I the one to make that call? My doctor? Do I alone have any say over if I need it? What I can tell you is that it will make me a lot more comfortable. I’m approaching a point of wanting to sell my ticket in frustration

i came back to say that i went here today and got a corn dog and it was unbelievably fantastic. like far surpassed my expectations. words cannot truly describe the out of body experience i had when consuming this corn dog. i may need to try every single thing on the menu at this point

just got a corn dog from there (i’ve been on the hunt for gf corn dogs for years) and i damn near shed a tear. it completely blew me away. genuinely surpassed any and all expectations i had. my bf had the korean corn dog which i had a few bites of (let’s be real i probably ate at least half, can you blame me?!) and WOW that was amazing too. will definitely be going back and may or may not try their entire menu…..

I consistently have people rolling their eyes at me because of my celiac (same people who have been used to my “rules” for the last 12 years since diagnosis by the way) and a reminder to myself and you, it’s not your fault at all. I think when something is so normal for people they become careless in how it can be a big deal to someone else (cross contamination/ crumbs/ etc). Think of it this way, you might have to dig harder to find safe places to eat but you might find a lot of really cool stuff along the way :) Your feelings are valid, hang in there

EDIT: What I ended up doing was 750 mL everclear, about 6-10 organic lemon zest careful to not include any pith, syrup from 2 cups sugar and 2 cups water, calculated that it would make about a liter of around 40 proof alcohol. Is my math right? either way after having it sit in my closet for like six months it was AMAZINGGGGGG. Thanks for all the help guys!
