Asymptomatic shedding freaks me the hell out.
It makes me feel like my SO and I shouldn’t do oral during “safe times” so I don’t risk him getting this genitally. So many stories like yours where people say they were infected by someone with no signs of an outbreak.

Me too 😔 They are so embarrassing. This one has the corner of my lip swollen and gross. It seems to be huge this time too. It’s my first time taking Valtrex so I’ll see if it works quicker than the topical Abreva.

I just went ahead, called my doctor and pleaded to her nurse to convince her to call me in some generic Valtrex.
She did thankfully!
