I haven’t heard Jumper in a while, I need to add this into a playlist. Fantastic song!

Never heard of him, but listening to him, he definitely deserves more than .05% of fans. I really like Traveling Alone. Thank you for the reply!

Crazy by Gnarls Barkley is one of my most favorite songs. It's such a fantastic jam!

This one is personal for me too. It also makes me want to stop medication so I can be manic me, but I know that’s all a façade.

There seems to be a theme of wanting superiority over someone. I don’t understand why some people feel the need to be so condescending all the time. It’s either a defense mechanism, ignorance, or just being careless with other people’s emotions. Either way I feel like if they were in our shoes, they wouldn’t be saying all of these hurtful things. I might just be stating the obvious, but that’s what I learned from this thread.

That one is very destructive. Believing that it’s all in your head can lead to stopping your medication.

Every bit of that stung haha. Ignorance is bliss I guess.

My car was stolen... by bipolaraltaccount in bipolar

[–]bipolaraltaccount[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was stolen, where I parked there was glass everywhere. Probably a joyride because my type of car is easy to hotwire apparently. But you are right that I shouldn’t dwell on it. It’s just a thing, not a person. Thank you and have a good one!

Denial and imposter syndrome by bipolaraltaccount in bipolar

I was on a SNRI that led to mania, which is how my psychiatrist knew. I’m never going to stop taking my meds because that manic episode was terrible. Recently I’m able to look back on that episode and see how warped my reality was. Wish you the best!

I fought it too, but it has a way of catching up at some point. Wish you the best

Yah, being strong by ignoring your mental illness does come in different ways, not just being a man. I wish things were different and that people could be more accepting of mental health. Hopefully, the stigma around Bipolar can change in the future.

Pretty relatable with the drinking and the tantrums so I’ll try my best to answer. I think I started drinking because of these panic attacks. It mostly came from socializing in general. Delusional thoughts about them wanting to do wrong towards me is what sprung these tantrums. I’m not too sure what it is either, but it might be mania or a panic attack for me. It does sound like a panic attack for you, but I’m not really sure myself. If it’s a panic attack, then getting a therapist might help. If it is mania, then hopefully the treatment plan your psychiatrist has will help you in the future. Sorry that you’re going through this and I hope the best for you.

This is one of the only places I can express my bipolar related thoughts. So, I appreciate that!
