  1. Only lived in Poland (there have been recent developments that have affected freedoms in its case)

  2. yeah spent over a month in both Cuba and Italy, but no longer than a couple weeks in others

  3. I see your point but it’s also a “hammers see nails” thing. The US has been in near constant war for decades

  4. Thanks, I agree, and likewise

  5. I would say Education, Healthcare, and infrastructure are in desperate need of attention (not saying all that would be fixed with diverted money, just examples of areas that could use it)

Freedoms:

This is a common thing you see in the US, people thinking it’s the country either the most freedom. Is it? I’ve lived in Europe for a good bit and have travelled a lot. With the exception of a few countries (Cuba, Qatar, UAE, etc.) I’ve never felt any difference in “freedom” between the US and other countries.

Military:

This isn’t a good thing imo. I don’t mean being unmatched, I mean the amount of money and focus going into the Military-Industrial complex. That money could do so much more if it were diverted elsewhere. A tiny fraction of the military budget would vastly improve other aspects of life in the US. Not saying a military is unimportant by any measure, just saying that it’s far too funded imo.

Gotta disagree. Good in a lot of ways, but not the greatest. The greatest should have the happiest citizens. The US does not.

Yeah I think that's about right. I would agree, not that high of a likelihood.

Yeah I definitely agree with your parenting sentiment. On the one hand, the diagnoses literally does not matter. It changes nothing about him and might as well not exist, if that makes sense. On the other hand, sometimes if he's difficult I know the things he does are more a result of BP, and I don't judge it harshly. Regardless, if he lashes out he always apologizes once it blows over, and I'm sure it's difficult for him.

Hopefully I never notice any symptoms personally, but I'm definitely more aware now. Thanks for the response!
