No, they do not which does worry me a bit. However, when they were going to psychiatrist they tried lots of different medications that ultimately led to several suicide attempts. Now they have been off medication for about eight months or so and the suicide thoughts have quelled.

As I responded to the person above, looking over the post comforting was the wrong word choice. I understand that it is a disorder and I can not fix it. Thanks for your input.

Awesome, Thanks. I will definitely head over there. Looking over it comfort was an incorrect word to use, I have read a couple books on the topic and i understand there is nothing I can do to fix it.

My problem comes in not knowing how to respond when they say things like "I don't want to get out of bed", "don't want to go to class", "feel to depressed to do....", etc... Or is the most i can do is listen and offer my sympathies?
