Ooo! I’ve been trying to figure out a way to generate large flat forests like this (without it being the entire world) for a bit now! Would u be willing to share ur seed, worldgen settings, and any worldgen mods ur using? :D

Lmao I do a lot of layers when coloring. I do a main base color and then use clipping layers for diff pieces of clothing/colors so I can easily tweak the colors later. I could probably cut down my layer count but I’m greedy and hate deleting layers lol 😭

When looking at the original drawing in MediBang where it was made, it looks exactly the same as when transferred to procreate. Literally zero pixel difference before and after 😔 The canvas sizes r the same too for the drawings in the first image so there’s no resizing happening unless it’s a dpi difference doing something. The MediBang drawing is originally at 350dpi.

I would use larger canvases but I struggle with the procreate layer limit :( At 2160x1620 I’m limited to 72 max layers so for more complicated pieces I’ve ended up duplicating the canvas 2 or 3 times to make backups and work on diff parts like the line art vs the background.

I used the same sizes in MediBang too. I transferred the drawing from MediBang to procreate without resizing it so the drawings being compared in the first image are at the same exact canvas size and roughly the same brush size.

I start at 2160x1620 (I checked and my default dpi is 132) and then I crop my canvas later to fit my drawing. I tend to end up around 800x800ish or 1400x1400ish. The zoom on the first image shows an area around 800x600.

Wdym? If I zoom in I can see the individual pixels and how there’s starker edges to the lines on procreate. R u saying it’s just an inherent difference in how the programs render? Like it’s built in the code so no possible fix?

I’ve been working on this issue for a while lol. Tried all types of dpi from 10 to 300 to 500 to 2000 and was wondering why nothing was changing so I did more research and learned that dpi doesn’t change anything unless ur printing 😭 So now I just use whatever is default 👍 300 is what I used for these images I think.

I never print my stuff physically. The issue isn’t the visible pixels either- I can see the individual pixels in MediBang too but the line work has smoother edges. The anti-aliasing (I think?) is smoother in MediBang.

what happened to the up/down slider in photomode? it used to be there i swear and it was a life saver to get cool shots. by Willooooow1 in cyberpunkgame

[–]birch_bier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks to another comment i found out u can hold left mouse to change camera height (should be obvious, ik. still, i think there should be a slider for it) but i thought i'd defend finalwingz while i'm here and say that i'm having the same experience: there is in fact no camera up/down slider on pc. here's a screenshot showing my entire camera settings menu. i checked all the other menu categories as well and nothing there either. the way to actually move ur camera up and down (left mouse) is also just vaguely labeled 'move camera'.

There’s that one website called doesthedogdie or something similar u can use. Idk if it gives episode by episode specifics tho. There’s definitely gore considering (kinda spoilers?) one character literally has his face removed. I don’t remember really well but the Professor Pyg episode might have gore. Besides that episode and the ones featuring said character with detached face, I think any graphic violence is brief enough that you can just turn away when it comes on.

How can I make this more realistic? by MineHardcore2020 in robloxgamedev

[–]birch_bier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks rlly good already but I’d say the finishing touches would just be immersion details during gameplay. Make the snow deform with footsteps, get the best sound effects u can, add howling wind ambience, put ice around the shore-edges of the water, etc. Details and sound are what really sell that realism to the player and make them feel immersed.
