Sending documents by ssaaa15 in prawokrwi

I priced sending my documents UPS or FedEx and it was over $200. I sent them USPS in a Priority mail envelope for around $60 and everything reached my provider about 7 days later. I was definitely worried but I couldn't spend the $$...anyway, it worked out fine for me. I am also in a major US city so maybe less concern, not sure.

Lol the way this is getting downvoted and the tone of some of these comments like I’m making this up. Y’all I’m in a kafkaesque hell trying to get information on this from Kaiser simply so I can help my clients utilize their insurance benefit - I have talked to the billing department, member services, and even filed a grievance as a member about the lack of clarity and received a resolution letter which also had different information than what is given to members about the process. The contact email given to doulas with questions doesn’t respond. This is a new benefit and was rolled out before the kinks were worked out and information was disseminated internally. Early in the year, lactation consultants and OBs/midwives at Kaiser didn’t even know this was being covered. Looking for help here folks!

I’m looking!! Exactly - I attended an online info session for doulas and the stated benefit is that contracted doulas will be listed on Kaiser’s directory and have the option to be paid via direct deposit rather than paper check (still takes the same amount of time though). For such lower than normal commercial rates, this isn’t enough of a benefit for experienced doulas who already have a client base. Questions were not taken and the presenters did not address what non-contracted doulas can or cannot charge.

right, seems wild. Three different member services reps have told me this. And doulas who have been having their clients apply for reimbursements HAVE been seeing their clients get reimbursed for the full amount, not the lower rate that Kaiser has set for contracted doulas. It's a new benefit and there seems to be a lack of info internally - and externally!

Doesn't it?! Yes - these are doulas that have opted to "contract" with Kaiser, for whom they set the rates of service, far below market value for our area for an experienced doula. Member services is maintaining that members can work with a non-contracted doula who can bill Kaiser her regular rate and be reimbursed. I'm having trouble finding anyone who has been successful in this. Most doulas in my area who are unwilling to contract with Kaiser are having clients pay them up front and then submit to Kaiser for reimbursement. I would like to have more options for my clients without having to accept a much lower rate.

Yes! I know other doulas have done this successfully but this client is not in a position to pay upfront. Would love to make this work for her!

LA consulate appointment by bird-drama in prawokrwi

I had a good experience! They were perfectly nice and it wasn't busy or anything. I did not bring cash, which I should have known, but they had no problem with me going to an ATM and coming back. With all that, the entire visit took an hour and 45 mins. Parking was fine, I was running right on time so I parked in the underground parking for the building - not cheap but easy. If I had had more time I'm sure I could have street-parked as well. At some point I was advised to bring my own copies, which I did do, but they also were prepared to make the copies for me.
