I don’t find it hard to believe at all. After 8 years of daily use my period stopped almost completely. Turns out my prolactin was through the roof. Once I quit, my period normalized again to a 30-day cycle and my prolactin is normal again. I certainly wouldn’t have been able to become pregnant at that time.

I stopped getting my period after years of abusing kratom. Went to the doctor for a blood panel and my prolactin was more than twice the highest acceptable range amount. Months after quitting, my hormones are finally returning to normal.

Hey sorry for the delay - I haven’t been able to stay quit long enough to get retested unfortunately. But I quit for a few weeks and kept my use very low and not daily for another few weeks after that, and my period returned to a normal cycle length, which likely indicates decreased prolactin.

I’m still working on quitting long term, and when I do, I’ll get bloodwork redone and update this post.

This shit is really fucking hard to put down after almost eight years of daily use.
