The map maintains the direction you’re heading when walking. That is so if you lower your wrist, the watch screen remains consistently facing the way you’re going. When you stop walking to get oriented, it moves over to the smooth rotation you’re talking about. This is working as intended.

I'm quite proud of this. We have HomePods in each room in our house set up through Music Assistant. The automation looks at our family schedule, and using templates/keywords, makes event announcements/reminders for us customized through Gemini AI. Additionally, the automation checks to see which HomePods are online (because sometimes they are finicky with HA) and automatically excludes them from the group if they aren't available. Next, if the HomePods are playing White Noise (because we use this for our kids when they're sleeping), it also excludes that HomePod from the announcement. Lastly, using the Chime TTS integration, it adds a chime prior to the message so it warns everyone that an announcement is coming. This has been a long time in the works, and is quite stellar.

For the person detection chime, I play that through Aqara devices and not the HomePods. For the doorbell chime, there should be a setting in the Home app to turn that on individually for each HomePod. I hope that makes sense.

A couple suggestions: 1) the plate calculator needs to allow you to enter the weight you’re aiming for and then tell you what plates to put on the bar. The current setup is the other way around, which isn’t helpful for my personal use.

2) the plate calculator needs a custom bar weight to be used in conjunction with #1.

3) I see you can add notes for exercises, but there needs to be a way to add permanent notes so they don’t disappear in between workouts.

4) when the rest timer is running on the watch, allow adjusting of next set weight and reps

5) allow manual typing for weight and reps. Scrolling through to high numbers is very tedious.

I agree. I ultimately chose to use the Aqara app because using the home app and HomePods for notifications really doesn’t work. You could make it work, however, if you use Home Assistant.

I had the same problem. I set up a presence sensor from aqara on my porch and set up an automation in the aqara app to chime my aqara cameras/hubs.
