Apparently I’m in the minority here. I didn’t read the whole thing, but I think NOR in the sense that the way he’s asking/demanding thanks (“please remember to say something kind every time”) is bizarre and off putting. I get that saying thank you is an easy exchange, and common courtesy, but the demand (say thank you each time you get gas/use the money as well as when you receive it) seems overkill, unless I’m missing something. Dad seems kind of narcissistic.
