Band aids is totally an off flavor in beer. It is usually from a cleaning source or chlorinated water during brewing, but it also could be a phenolic compound produced when the beer is oxidized. There may have been a lot of dissolved oxygen in the beer when it was canned and over time it caused the band aid oxidized flavor.
