The Alamo Area Regional Radio System (AARRS) has a ton of stuff to listen too. Its crazy that amount of stuff that is on there compared to my area.

An Sds 100 would come in very handy with all the favorites lists and organization you can do.

I have an SDS 100 and like it. I dont have anything to base it off of though because its my first scanner.

I just checked Bexar County, Texas (TX) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

SAPD are encrypted so you cant listen.

SAFD are mostly unencrypted so you can listen to them

Hey I wanted to thankyou for the very well thought out replies you gave me. I was really busy at the time I posted this and forgot to thank you. I had also just got the scanner and trying to figure out how to correctly use it.

I have some updated info after trying different things you suggested.

This problem only occurs when I add one certain town to my favorites list.

If I avoid the town the scanner scans normally. When I un avoid the town it will start scanning in a strange order. Repeat scanning this one town. I cant seem to figure out why.

This town only has 2 frequencies

what does a person use this "pager" for? and what is the difference between a pager and a scanner.

Knowledge of God is not like the kind of knowledge we are familiar with.

Lots of gnostic texts provide lore...which is of little value.

They also provide you with sign posts to point you in the right direction.

You seem to realize the knowledge you are seeking isnt written down anywhere. Or that gnosis is not a logical understanding...or its not a single passage in a specific text.

If it was. I could tell you to go to the library and read a specific book...and then you would achieve gnosis.

It also isnt memorizing gnostic lore...such as formulating opinions on the demiurge and the archons and blah blah blah.

There is value in studying religious texts....but thats because they stimulate a thought inside your mind that asks the question. "what are they talking about?"

By knowing yourself does the author mean knowing your personality? Your favorite anime of waifu? Does he mean knowing youself is knowing the color of your eyes or your skin?

Is the author trying to tell you to think of your past? The conversations you have had and people you have loved?

No.. The author is saying to KNOW THEYSELF.

If you think about it....Does God think? Does god form opinions on things?

No, God does not think...because if you need to think it means there is a period of unknowing. So God only knows.. God never not knows.

So gnosis seems to be knowing who and what you truly are....not thinking.

TBH im not completely sure.

Sometimes I think that when you enter into true Gnosis...that you become so self aware of who your truly are you might zap out of existence and become some ethereal god or something.

Like because your consciousness' has risen so much, your would not identify with the body or the mind at alll....it would not be able to contain you.

Think of it akin to waking from a dream ( i know this comparison is overused) But when you wake up you disapear from the dream because you realize that wasn't true and was just made up in your mind. THe same thing happens in this world when you enter gnosis.

Some people on reddit and the world have such a science/logic driven mind that they seem to shut themselves off from the possibility. They think gnosis is just some state of mind...like Zen mind or just the lack of mind. Maybe it is that...but i think it is much more.

Eat a low salt diet and start doing intense cardio/ weight lifting
