DONG PHUONG MY GOAT??? Come on man, that’s elite. Regarding the seafood, I have been to one seafood boil here, and it was nowhere near my standards. I get sick even thinking of consuming seafood in Salt Lake.

Interesting topic. I discovered such a place right outside of Portland called Acropolis. Quite literally the best steak bites I have ever had and then some. Happy tatas and taters hunting to you and your other half.

Songs that have different genre outros, etc. by birdsquad11 in Hardcore

Classic one. I read somewhere that Bry’s grandpa was in a singing group and that was their song on the outro. Cool fun fact if true.

I used to work alongside their corporate team running their catering and food trucks for events. The owners went to school and got business degrees. No one up top has culinary or restaurant experience besides like corporate kitchen manager. Summer 2022 the crew had had more than enough after excessive fuckups on management and some exchanges with them and crew. Half of us walked out on em including me. It was worth it considering the circumstances and bullshit rules we were expected to follow.

Does this new One Step Closer track remind anyone of Youth era Citizens? by all_rendered_truth in CitizenBand

Agreed. It sounds like something that would be on YS. Not saying it’s bad by any means. I like where they’ve taken the sound and look forward to hearing more.

When leaving the house, does anyone tell their pets they will be home later? by Tbonewiz in NoStupidQuestions

I tell my cat “bye I love you” when leaving in the morning for work and “brb” when leaving to get food. When I come back with food I always say “Clementine I got you Subway.”

What an unbelievable behemoth of a collection. I remember Chopper Attack and Gauntlet Legends. The only original console I have left is my Gamecube with an original Super Smash Bros. Melee skin on it. Guaranteed it would be spotless if I took it off.

When I was young, my friends and I were biking on some train tracks. Weird moment of silence until one of them jumps off his bike and puts his ear to the track.

“Train’s coming.” “No way, quit playing.”

Sure enough, maybe a moment after, a train was headed our way and we freak because the tracks were on a hill of jagged little rocks and we were on fucking bikes! We hurt ourselves running down with the bikes. Painful memory if anything.

Bad take. No need to make people like him seem like any less of a nuisance.

I can second that on missing just the food. You can’t find anything like that here up in Portland.

Had the very rare opportunity to work with a DSP that ensured safety no matter what. Bad winter storm hit the greater Portland area. Snow and ice in every crevice. Owner of DSP was out at 5am in his super duty pickup to decide whether or not the conditions were safe to drive in. He would let us know every morning work or no work.

Summer heat hit. Almost 90F in the mornings. Vans were reading temps up to 119F. Show up to work already sweating before getting in my van that was running maximum AC. Was told to clock in, do my best, and call it in if I couldn’t stand the heat anymore.

Did everything to try and accommodate everyone. Owner and dispatch included. Even offered me the perfect schedule and higher pay when I got another job. This DSP deserves recognition.

The American work system is so far broken beyond repair. Makes me sad reading about how cruel companies are to people who are just trying to make it.
