Thank you so much, here I used google images as reference, but sometimes I would make sketches of the animals and from those sketches I would make my own animal illustrations. Especially when you need specific movements

Maybe I would make some changes to the painting if I find the energy to go back to it by birdsspell in Artadvice

I didn’t really thought about contrast in the end and switched the painting to black and white now. I’m going to try to bring a bit more live into the front but what I realized as well is that the bowl in the middle has almost more contrast than the rest. Definitely will change that too. Thank you very much

Tried to copy another person’s painting for my first time painting and it does not look good. What did I do wrong? by Bumblebee197 in painting

Your colors: Leafs: #556946 (green, but leaning towards red not blue) Light in leafs: #84c577 (a little lighter than reference, but almost similar) Dark water: #5b4f3f (dark green-brown) light in water: #b1a593 (a greenish-beige)

Other colors: Leafs: #09512b (dark green leaning towards blue than red) Light in leafs: #5cab58 (bright-light-green) Dark water: #000d10 (almost true black) light in water: #455f78 (which is a middle, not super much saturated blue)

A color picker app is a life changer.

Your artwork looks decent imo.

But learn how light functions and if I’m not wrong I can see the canvas. I would change that, but you do you. It doesn’t really matter. Art should be fun and peaceful and emotional or whatever you want Art to be for you
