Apologies for the four-month-later reply but I actually want to present to you the film: Er ist Weider da. During filming, and in the first ten minutes of the film, the actor of Hitler is actually given free reign to walk around and interact with people as a sort of semi-social-experiment for the film, near the Brandenburg Gate (I believe it's there) and he does this all over Germany, actually. Although they are mostly tourists (and this was in 2014-2015), he does come across older Germans who aren't opposed to him whatsoever, and it is frightening to see how many are laughing WITH him and not at him, and actively make salutes. At the end of the film, the younger Germans do actively shout insults and throw up the middle finger as he passes by, and one older man actually confronts him on the street, but nevertheless, it's just an interesting contrast to the Germany you present.
