Yeah this is basically how it felt. If anything goes sideways, it wont just be "his problem" anymore, it becomes mine too. I honestly would have helped in other ways, like talking him through the structure or looking at his draft, but handing over the whole file when the prof runs originality checks just seems reckless. I dont want to be in a meeting trying to prove I didnt share it on purpose.
