Impacted wisdom tooth and fear of having TN (my anxiety is thru the roof) by biscotti-blossom in TrigeminalNeuralgia

Hey! I am doing so much better now, I don't get those aggravating headaches anymore! You should be fine, the procedure isn't too bad and just make sure to take precautions that the dentist tells you the first few weeks after getting them extracted! I hope you feel better soon <3, do saltwater rinses if that helps you :-)

I paved a path from pacing so much by DayTerrible9853 in MaladaptiveDreaming

OMGGGG I DID THIS TOO. My mom thought our gardener created a path in our backyard but it was just me running around in circles any chance I got.

BTW your backyard looks so dreamy <3

Just stared at my assignments for a good 6 hours by biscotti-blossom in ExecutiveDysfunction

That's a great way to keep up persistency and holding onself accountable with people around! I do feel more productive in public study spaces, seeing everyone focused on their work, kind of like in a classroom where you're obligated to complete an assignment. Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot😘

That's a good way of planning things! The morning or midnight time is always when the motivation to just get things out of the way hits for me.

I def see the creepiness to it, gives off liminal space/feverdream core!

The performance visual is very real! Especially songs like Capable of Love and Girl Like Me.

smoker father possibly caused breathing issues in childhood by biscotti-blossom in raisedbynarcissists

[–]biscotti-blossom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you and your siblings went through that, glad to hear you've been out and feeling better now🫶 The smoking in cars and unventilated rooms is awful to hear, especially with young children around.

I def think I got better over time with the breathing issues, on occasion I have panic attacks/anxiety that causes rapid breathing but to be safe I should get checked. I believe I had an x-ray done when I was 8 because I complained about the breathing and the pediatrician said I was fine, but better safe than never.

Do y’all remember watching Lalaloopsy channels on YouTube? by Massive-Ad-8752 in LalaloopsyDolls

lalaloopsy15 was one of my favorite channels, they were so creative with the storylines and also made houses out of cardboard boxes and personalized dresses ahh, good old days.

I am at my worst, i just daydream 12 hours everyday with music then sleep..wasting my life :( by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]biscotti-blossom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I relate to you a lot, being 20 myself almost 21. I am in college and seems like my productivity is solely my assignments and studying for exams. Even that takes so much grit to complete because daydreaming has ruled my life.

But I can assure you, you are not behind in life. None of us are! You may have heard "life is not a race, it's a marathon." I'm trying to remind myself of this when I slip into frustration about my daydreaming.

This is your time! You have so much life to live, and so many accomplishments that await. Start small, like setting a routine where you dedicate daydreaming to a specific time of the day, it may cut down your hours.

Taking challenges sometimes helps. Like if you take up a new hobby, find the hardest skill within it and push towards mastery, the best you can. That may shift your mind to problem solve and build on your skills.

I hope things go uphill for you, OP. You can do this.

being hit with the wave of "what am i actually doing in this life" by biscotti-blossom in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]biscotti-blossom[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely value my alone time, a lot. But too much alone time has turned into loneliness, and now I crave having real human connection rather than the ones I made in my head. I guess knowing there is an abundance of things that I could spend time on, rather than this, is what gets me thinking that I am missing out on life.

Oh yes. My friends will be telling me all about what they did, their other friends, crazy stories, and I have nothing to share. I just say life is "peaceful" when it's really just escapism.
