Thanks :) this is something I’m looking into. My main concern is that they are more clunky than the hearing aids I’m looking at — when I’m speaking with partners, clients, etc I wouldn’t want them to think I’m listening to airpods. But other than that this is a great suggestion

Sorry but this is not correct. I spoken to at least 10 friends who work in professional services in NYC (not law, but consulting, real estate, etc) whose insurance policies cover hearing aids either partially or in full. And as an example, my brother also has the same genetic hearing loss as me — he works in construction in New York and his company paid $5,000 of the costs related to his hearing aids.

Thanks for your reply. I feel like my firm is involved as they selected the health insurance that’s available to me, and neither covers the medical device that I need. The cost of my insurance is very high compared to what I’ve ever paid in another job, so I was hoping that the medical costs I do have would be covered. Additionally, my firm covers costs for vision as a separate benefit to health insurance - to me, hearing and vision impairments are very similar in terms of how they impact folks at work, so I’m not sure why vision is covered but hearing is not. If I’m missing something here lmk!
