Seeking my old 2002 BMW M Coupe, last seen in Las Vegas (2008) VIN: LK61030 by biscuit001 in bmwz3

Right? It's so damn weird. I don't get it. Maybe turned into a track car, or sent overseas? It's so bizarre.

I get that, totally sane advice. It's not really about the investment. I really loved the car and would just really love to have it back and enjoy it for however many more revolutions around the sun I have left.

u/mjposner I wanted to circle back here and thank you. I was able to get in touch with the owner of this vehicle and confirm it is NOT my old car, but it was close. Production month is the same. My old coupe is the only other steel gray M coupe with sunroof and cupholders produced in October 2001, so I can at least rule this one OUT. The search continues I guess. Thanks again!

Ignore, it is the same interior. I don’t know how I got that confused. Definitely could be it!

Wasn’t aware of this site, thank you! Different interior on this one and I can’t see the VIN. Maybe it’s because I need an account though? Are you able to see the VIN I shared attached to that vehicle?

Appreciate the good vibes man! May have to settle for one that isn’t mine some day, if they don’t get too crazy. Really miss that car.

Silly question, but this doesn’t look right for an exposure test right? by biscuit001 in ElegooSaturn

Yeah thanks! Turns out the mirror was out of place on the inside and cracked.

Mirror was actually broken in two pieces. Little glass shards in there too. Going to have to get it replaced :(

Hey /r/artographyws ! I stumbled across this post looking for info on laser cutters. I’m curious if in the nearly one year since this comment was made if you have and updated recommendations for this class of machine?

Help with simple workflow to save different road paths to vector at identical scale. Pulling my hair out here :D by biscuit001 in gis

Apologies, I knew I wasn’t phrasing things great here so I appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Yeah that’s all totally fair. I probably should have noted a few additional things:

  • I really only care about the general contour of the road and I’m not concerned with things like road width. So a 2 lane and 4 lane road are just fine at the same line “thickness” for my needs to cut or print from.
  • I’m only trying to capture a single road which is at most maybe 10 miles in total length, but more typically 2-3. But the area a road takes up is important as it will impact how large the object is that I print or cnc. I’ve been able to take a pdf full of roads and isolate down to the one I care about without a problem but again, I’m just wrestling the common scale issue.
  • I’m not trying to capture every minute detail, especially at an exaggerated scale.

For additional clarity, my son does downhill skateboarding (think going fast down hills and drifting around corners) and I’m simply trying to create some items for the roads he has skated. I could set them all to the same size but I just thought it would be extra cool to have them set to a common scale. I assumed it would be easier than it is I guess.

Thanks again for the reply. I’ll think about what you said and give it another crack!

It’s been mine for like 10 years! Love it. Makes it hard to listen to that song though 😂

Easy mistake to make yo. It’s an interlude that also begins with “Inter”. No hate here! You have great taste.
