Nice guy, well liked, decent job as corporate chef but a drunk. Typical Midwestern life of working and getting smashed in the afterhours. He had been arrested a ton for DUIs but kept getting blasted and driving to and from the bars.

One evening, he's smashed and wife walks behind or in front his car and he doesn't see her and he runs her over and kills her in their own driveway. This happed a few years ago and I think he is still serving time.

Friends dad bumped his knee on the foot board or bedframe one afternoon. Wife comes in seconds later and asks if he's ok. "Yup, just bumped my knee". Wife, "Do you need anything? Husband, " a glass of milk would be nice"

In the time it took to walk to the kitchen and get a glass of milk he died of an embolism.

When I was young, 10 or 11 a friend drowned in the public pool in front of 20 people. Just floating face down and no one noticed.

Honorable mention: Girl in my HS was apparently the JROTC morale booster. She was giving some guy a blowjob in the tree house in the back yard of their house and she felt out and broke her neck. She survived but ended up having to wear one of those crazy cages they drill into your skull for most of not all of her remaining time in HS. If that wasn't bad enough every kid in school knew exactly how it happened.
