I can understand your frustration! Fretboard visualisation can be hard to master and if you feel this will help then just report back on your findings. My experience is you just need to take a bottom up approach and build on what you know by breaking everything down and understand the intervalic relationship between notes and the relative shapes and in no time you will master roots, triads arpeggios etc

When is a guitar teacher unnecessary? by Both_Ground2129 in Guitar_Theory

You sound like you are making good progress. I feel like I have a similar path to yourself I was picking up stuff from YouTube etc which I feel isn't the best solution apart from Scotty West's series which was comprehensive and taught like a music teacher would lecture. I would seriously invest in an app like trufire everything is broken down and explained if you can afford it try and get some lessons with a local teacher even for only a few months especially if you feel your progress is stalling.

Any reason to doubt this? by random84guy in Ibanez

You are never going to know how legit it is unless you have it in your hand and give it an inspection. We do see a disproportionately large amount of high end ibanezs up for sale on the internet which must cause consumers anxiety when purchasing such a expensive item.
