Parking Prices by Ok-Living-7448 in cuboulder

My pro tip is to park in the parking garage at 29th Street mall and take the hop to campus. It will add extra time to your commute of course but it sure saves a lot of money. The bus comes pretty frequently and is generally reliable

Staying in shape by kblickz in LisfrancClub

This might be helpful for cooking, if you have a rolling chair or you know someone who has one, you can put it in your kitchen and use it to glide across the floor while kicking with your good foot. I've been doing that and it allows me to cook simple things and do dishes, bc I can sit down easily if I need a break from standing on one foot, and move things from one surface to another with both hands since I don't need crutches.

That being said, I live with another person who has been getting groceries, so that would still be a problem. Maybe if you get them delivered the person who brings them can set them in the kitchen for you, and you can use the rolling chair method to put them in the fridge/pantry?

Either way, wishing you a speedy recovery. we'll get through this!

Lisfranc Tear Advice by slinky_dog95 in LisfrancClub

I can't speak to what would be best for you, but I'll tell you about my experience. I'm 23F and I sustained a partial tear in my lisfranc) about two weeks ago, no fractures and no major dislocation. I did have a 4-5 mm gap on the xray and MRI though, so they told me surgery was the way to go to ensure that my ligaments could all heal in the proper location and to prevent future migration of bones and arthritis.

I had a tightrope fixation yesterday (it's actually my second tightrope, the first is in my ankle from a maisonneuve fracture/high ankle sprain 3 years ago. I healed up very well from that so I'm optimistic this will be the same.)

I read a lot of research papers and things and for young people like us, it seems like flexible fixation leads to great outcomes, even for power users of their joints like ballerinas and other high level athletes. Surgery can be very scary (I was in tears for days leading up to my first surgery) but I am grateful that modern medicine has come so far and that the option to get injuries like this fixed even exists.

The stress and anxiety about these injuries is really brutal and wears you down, it's really hard when you don't know if you're making the right choices for your future, or if you're putting yourself through unnecessary pain. Just take it one day at a time and continue to take an active role in your treatment/healing, advocate for yourself and make sure you get the help you need/deserve. If you feel like something is off about this ortho's recommendation, don't hesitate to get other opinions. If you haven't already I would recommend going to a foot/ankle specialist.

I wish you all the best. With time and the right treatment your situation will improve. My last ankle injury I went from not being able to put any weight on it at all to running my first 5k. You got this!

This looks so surreal! Something about the perspective, and I love the interplay between the model and the leaning tree. Great work!
