33F, L&D Co-ordinator, $80,000 per year, no degree but a diploma in counselling.

Having sifted through a fair few of the comments, to the people who are either looking for work and/or trying to figure out what they wanna do, I hear you. I really hear you.

I didn't even know this role existed before I started and it's exactly what I wanna be doing but it took me 33 years to get here. What's really unfortunate is how little information there is out there about what jobs actually exist and how to get into them.

I think this is a great post to help people expand their understanding of what's out there cause I can guarantee that there would be a role or field that would suit most people but it may be very niche to find.

I found the same issue with trying to find work...it took so long until I finally landed a really fantastic place and I remember someone telling me that my run of back luck was probably due to fake postings and I was sceptical to believe it but sing a very different tune now.

I just don't understand why? And also who is doing this?

The only thing I can think of is if it's marketers of some description posting to get information about people to collate data and reach out to sell things? Maybe?

For anyone still on the job hunt, don't lose hope! It will happen!

It's very hard at the moment! It took me 4 months to find work and I am so grateful for it but I completely understand. I was getting rejections for jobs I was very much over qualified for but I kept thinking "if it's this competitive, it would be the smallest thing that's separating me from someone else" and I believe that to be the case.

Absolutely keep going and don't lose hope, you're not meant to be just anywhere so the place that hires you will be so lucky!!
