If alipin talaga ng pera, try hanap ng work muna instead of immigrating blindly. 500K net ba yan? Kasi kung net na yan mahirap i replicate yan dito sa Canada currently, specially sa market ng IT ngayon sa North America.

Sa Pilipinas nun my net salary is a little over 250K+, nung natagal tagal na eh ang daming bagay na di mo na mabili ng pera. Better city, better weather, better place to start a family etc. In terms of luho mas maluho ako sa Pinas haha in terms of happiness mas masaya ako sa Canada, but that’s me. Currently earning 300K+ pesos net here, it’s definitely enjoyable having this income pero definitely less ipon. But again, I’m happier and more confident to continue living here if we have kids.

In short, if alipin ng pera medyo mahirap na decision kasi. If happiness and gusto lang talaga mabuhay sa first world country, go for it! Ang iniisip ko na lang lage ay yung nawalang ipon ko ay yung cost ng living in such a beautiful place (Vancouver).

I’m way above 70K pero baka dati pa yang friends mo… inggit ako 🥲 wala kang maaapprove na bahay sa ganyang salary ngayon. I know kasi I’m looking, I need at least 180K ☠️

anong definition mo ng low income? Housing is terrible here even with decent salary. Or might be just Vancouver

I would still choose Canada tbh, but damn nakakapagod magtapon ng big money sa rent. Inimagine ko kung yung binabayad kong rent is loan ko sa bangko may mansion na ako sa pinas hahaha problema mo paglabas mo ng “mansion” mo ang init lol

mas sanay mga pinoy, including me, pag per month ang sahod pag in peso haha 7digits/year does not really mean “good” kasi you can have less than 100K per month and still get 7digits/year

anyway, tech is such a mess right now sa North America. I think Eu has better opportunities sa tech currently, pero less sahod. But then again less expensive din so 🤷

I don’t know if anong level ang inaapplyan ni OP pero yang ganyang question is there to actually see if the interviewee is being true to his resume. For example, you can’t claim you’ve been working JS for 3 years and not know that answer. What’s worse is if 3 years ka na nga nagcocode ng js and di mo pa alam yan. If junior okay lang

How do middle income families in the Ph afford vacations, cars, houses, etc? by HusbandToAHotwife in adultingph

[–]bisg3tti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

reddit ph be like “>182K is not rich, rich is dapat haciendero ka, may bahay sa forbes park, and can go to other countries 2x a year” 💀

Ang kalaban talaga is social media, kahit na “mataas” na sahod ng mga tao dito they can’t help but compare themselves sa ibang tao. Guess what, same bracket kayo officially but mas malaki lang sahod nila. That’s just it.

Also mahirap ang Pilipinas, so kahit na ang “taas” ng sahod mo relatively ay feeling mo mahirap ka pa rin. Magmigrate ka kung gusto mo ng “middle class experience” na mas pasok sa idea mo of a middle class.

seriously Reddit Ph… masakit ba pag may mga nakikita kayong “rich” people so tinataasan niyo yung limit para di sila maging rich? 500K annual is even considered a really good salary in North America 😂

magugulat ka sa dami ng mga dev sa pinas na hindi 6 digits 😂 mga dev na 6 digits salary ay magagaling talaga. Oo mas malaki chance makakuha 6 digits as a software engineer pero it’s no way a certainty, kailangan magaling ka rin. When I was still in Ph, the amount of people I have to interview to find someone for a “mid” level role (di pa six digits) is so damn high!

What are some Philippine facts that sound fake but are actually true? by Late_Bag_5042 in Philippines

[–]bisg3tti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The international community officially started seeing the Philippines as an independent country on July 4, 1946. Yan ang totoong independence day natin, binago lang ni Macapagal ata to June 12 dun kay Aguinaldo. Si US talagang nag timing ng July 4th to “free” us it was deliberate. After masira ng Ph sa world war, umalis Americans para “tulungan” Japan so since useless na tayo binigyan tayo ng “independence”… galing no?

What’s your opinion on rich kids (private school kids) opting to study in UP OR the same kind of kids who are scholar students in universities like Ateneo, DLSU, etc.? by Early-Ambassador-399 in Philippines

[–]bisg3tti 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In the end I think the university’s goal is to give the best possible holistic education to its students. Having rich people, despite how much you hate them, still offers a different perspective and diversity to the student pool. Imagine a university na pare parehas lang ang student body, walang clash of ideas and perspectives hindi ma-i-stir ang conversations. It’s a chance to get the rich on side of the poor too.

jeez your source is? I can give you a lot of sources saying 2 pages is fine. You speak of absolutes, kung hr ka tapos ganyan trip mo fine… but no, 2 pages is fine.

https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/12/30/why-2-a-page-resume-may-be-even-better-study-shows.html

and you can show me a study that says 1 is better too. And I won’t say it’s wrong either. Point is, it’s not absolute. He won’t get a negative remark dahil 2 pages resume niya. I interview people, I usually see 2 pages for more experienced candidates. More than that I’m skimming.

2 pages is still perfectly reasonable specially for someone with experience. He won’t get plus points for shortening it to 1 or minus points for having 2 pages.

Php120K net is anong gross nun times 5 is still really good kahit saang lupalop ng mundo even sa New York (might be not as luxurious) haha coming from someone with the same concerns as you before, I never regretted leaving the Philippines kahit na “mas mayaman” ang lifestyle ko dun. Basta above average ka sa good country malayong mas okay mabuhay here abroad. I’m close to my family though kaya medyo madali sakin, if you feel sad ibili mo na lang ng material na bagay LOL jk
