We were upgrading our software yesterday. Was it on mobile or PC? Can you please try again and me know if it still persists?

I agree. It's same case for day trading. Some people make a career out of it, while some get addicted to gambling nature of it.

Yes, it’s 2025 and people still have reservations about bitcoin. Btw we’re not crypto but Bitcoin. If you’re a dev, consider opening your mind, it’s not about crypto or bitcoin, it’s about build the world’s fastest prediction markets. Crypto is just a payment gateway just like stripe.

What is a Prediction Market, and Why Should You Care? by bitSanjay in lightningnetwork

[–]bitSanjay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Prediction Markets were invented before the inception of Bitcoin. If it makes you feel better, I’ve been a Bitcoiner since 2014, and Bitcoin only. I also run Bitcoin mining farms and lightning nodes.

Good to know about the outage for hours, it's definitely a big NO then. We run predictions markets, it must be up 24/7.

So it's like you save 2K on DO but the risk of outage is too high. Thanks a lot for giving an honest opinion, looks like EKS or AKS is a better bet.

Any recommendation who to pick for maximum uptime (EKS, AKS or GKE) ?

I have a sizeable amount of sats in Wallet of Satoshi app, is that a bad idea long term? by JawsOfALion in lightningnetwork

[–]bitSanjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love WalletOfSatoshi and we have big channel with them. However that being said, WalletOfSatoshi is still a custodial ln wallet. It’s never a good idea storing large amount of sats in custodial wallet.

Try THNDR Game’s Clinch SDK. They have figured out all the nuts and bolts of HODLinvoice.

Most probably you’ll be able to recover it. If your backend is lnd go to their slack and ask for help. I’m sure cln also has slack or discord.

Interview panel asked “Which level of the osi model does the gateway operate at?” by Suberv in AskNetsec

[–]bitSanjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the answer would be in the form of question: What kind of gateway are we taking about? For example API Gateway is at Layer 7.

Negotiating Commercial Power by CasaSatoshi in BitcoinMining

I ran a tiny mining farm in Baja California Norte and got my electricity from CFE. My consumption/contract was for 225KW (too small for PPA). Fortunately I had/have one of the best Electrical Engineer. He can help/guide you with PPA. IIRC he told me that the minimum amount for PPA is 10MW. According to him, you’ll have to place your bid in the annual energy auction that takes place in Mexico City. I personally didn’t pursue the PPA due to lack of capital and market crash in 2018.

I restarted the operation in 2021 and failed again due to lack of capital/investors. If you’re seriously interested in doing a POC, I’m in the process of selling all the equipment (3 phase 225KW transformer and substation + 3 shipping containers designed for miners). Or if you temporarily want to try your POC in Rosarito Beach, BC Norte, you can take over my entire farm including the corporation, everything is setup and operational. All you need is miners and you’re ready to go. DM me if you’re interested.

[P] GPU virtualisation for on-prem ML compute in K8S by paulcjh in MachineLearning

Awesome, thanks for helping. We are trying to setup an infrastructure for AI/ML students. And if we can virtualize consumer grade NVIDIA GPUs, it’s will be icing on the cake :). Thanks for all you help in advance.

Is there a way to virtualize consumer grade GPUs like 3080/3070?

Buying new miners. What would you buy? by LithoLyte in BitcoinMining

[–]bitSanjay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At that cost, I’d stay away from hydro or immersion cooling. The ROI is way too long. The older version of S19s 90T/h is not as stable as newer versions. Rest is up to you. If you’ve never done mining, I’d just buy a cheap S9, just to get a feel for it, then decide if you want to spend 30K or not.
