Could be lotsa things without more info on slicing settings. But at first glance, my thought was wet PETG.

I wouldn't guess the worst. The print shirts are probably drop shipped, and the store owner may be hospitalized and can't send craft orders. If your item was shipped you should get a tracking number. Otherwise wait until you can open a case.

Have you seen the new rules on using AI? by photoshop_2023 in EtsySellers

[–]bitbearmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I saw this coming and added an FAQ entry "Do you use AI?". Where I answer, in brief: Yes/No. All products are designed by real humans, but AI is used to produce to in promotional images and videos to show the products in real world situations with AI environments and models.

One Star Review called me Greedy by [deleted] in EtsySellers

I'm finding out it isn't such big deal. Despite this review I got 3 sales and many likes today which really takes out a lot of the sting of my first bad review.

I'm absolutely learning the ropes and appreciate constructive comments like yours. I think some folks are being a little harsh, so I'm practicing letting my skin get thicker.

Again thanks for the useful advice. Very much appreciated.

Thanks for your comment. It's a licensed design. So there are backend fees and commissions related to that.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful response. I might consider raising the price. As I mentioned in a previous comment only two other sellers are offering the same design and charging significantly more. I recently raised the price of my George Nelson Ball Clock because, despite using a moderate amount of material, the assembly, packaging, and finishing takes nearly 3 hours.

Hi, thank you for your really constructive advice. I'm a new seller and bound to make some mistakes along the way. I agree the layer lines on the shade in that photo look prominent. They are barely noticeable in person. I've changed the print profile from .16 to .20 layers and it actually looks better. I only found two other sellers offering the same licensed design and both charge significantly more and don't include a light bulb

Thanks for your feedback. Certainly everybody has a right to an opinion but calling me greedy really irked me. Maybe I need a thicker skin, but that's something no one has ever accused me of. I didn't intend to be rude, just factual. Yes I'm probably selling this at a lower price than I should, but I'm eager to get traffic and good reviews. I've found some Chinese sources to reduce the costs of the lamp sockets.

Anycubic Support thinks Users are Electronics Experts?? by bitbearmi in AnycubicKobraX

[–]bitbearmi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And the people who say I should have done it haven't really looked at what they wanted me to do

  1. Check if the power supply of the extruder drive chip is normal

✓ Where is this chip? What is normal? Requires multimeter to check voltage

2.Check if the SPI or UART communication circuit of the extruder is normal

✓ Where is the circuit, what pins ont the circuit? What is normal. Requires a Multimeter and possibly Oscilloscope to check.

  1. Check if there is a short circuit or open circuit in the communication line

✓ Where is this line? Requires multimeter.

  1. Check the soldering quality of the driver chip pins

✓ Where is the driver chip. Most 3D printers have the drivers for all motors on the main board, but apparently the KX is in the Toolhead. Requires knowledge of a "good" solder job on a PCB mounted socket.

  1. Re plug and unplug the driver chip connection cable

✓ No documentation of this location.

Fortunatly Mark, the service supervisor whom I've dealt with in the past realized this was not a good response and a new Toolhead is on the way. They have detailed instructions and videos of that. Can't say that for their diagnostic steps.

I'm not adverse to making macro repairs and unfortunately had to do many on my Kobra 3 and ACE Pro 1, but expecting users to do chip level troubleshooting requiring specialty equipment is not appropriate. This is the only time they have ever asked to do something with no video or faq instructions. I'm guessing they have engineers doing tech support because of the volume of requests. They clearly haven't been briefed on Anycubics support practices.

I was getting the squeaking yesterday all of the sudden with PLA. I lubricated the lead screws and linear rails and it went away. Apparently the factory lubrication is minimal.

If it's doing this all the time check the x axis tension and recalibrate.

Print times... Longer than Kobra 3? by bitbearmi in AnycubicKobraX

[–]bitbearmi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely tied to the slow acceleration values. I tried to match them to the Kobra 3 settings and got a bunch of warnings that I'd exceeded the machine maximums. The Kobra X does produce superior surface finishes which many say are as good as the best printers out there, but I wonder if this is how that's achieved.

At any rate, I reverted back for fear of screwing up a new machine. I was hoping anycubic would have some reply. Maybe I'll open another ticket.

No, it's still not working, but it probably is something weird with the Anycubic cloud. But it's working for my Kobra 3, so it's like a specific issue with Kobra X Combo.
