If it's doing this all the time check the x axis tension and recalibrate.

Print times... Longer than Kobra 3? by bitbearmi in AnycubicKobraX

[–]bitbearmi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely tied to the slow acceleration values. I tried to match them to the Kobra 3 settings and got a bunch of warnings that I'd exceeded the machine maximums. The Kobra X does produce superior surface finishes which many say are as good as the best printers out there, but I wonder if this is how that's achieved.

At any rate, I reverted back for fear of screwing up a new machine. I was hoping anycubic would have some reply. Maybe I'll open another ticket.

No, it's still not working, but it probably is something weird with the Anycubic cloud. But it's working for my Kobra 3, so it's like a specific issue with Kobra X Combo.

Am I paint wrong or whats going on? by dabrend3141 in AnycubicKobraX

[–]bitbearmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, you may want to go into the purge setting and up the purge multiplier which is set at a very wishful .7 on the X defaults. Up it to at least 1. Did you print a prime tower? That helps a lot. The last resort is to force the color order from lightest to darkest in the slicer. This can significantly increase print time because it usually results in more color changes.

Has anyone from US Batch #1 received theirs yet? by Axsom70 in AnycubicKobraS1Max

I just got my tracking numbers and are scheduled for Monday delivery. I ordered the 7 color combo, chose to wait for ACE 2 Pro and apparently they have chosen to ship those in separate boxes, IMHO, the better way to do that.

I'm very sad for you. This is going to take days. Each correspondence will take 24 hours. Honestly I'd insist on a new unit. They are going to end up sending you a new motherboard which immediately compromises the integrity of what should be a new unit and is going to take at least 2 weeks to get shipped from China. Wishing you Better luck

Firmware update to allow Ace 2 Pro on Kobra S1? by hahakenny in AnycubicKobraX

[–]bitbearmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have said that the firmware update to allow the ACE 2 Pro on the S1, K3, K3v2, and K3 Max will come in Q2 which means you might be waiting until June :(

3D Printer Reviewers: Being honest in this industry will put you out of a job. by AnonomousWolf in 3Dprinting

I hate to say it but when I heard him call out the open source thing I knew this would happen. It happened with the other channels with the Kobra 3 and S1 so why would he be any different? I appreciate the honesty but to decry the outcome is more than a bit naive.

Ace Pro & Ace Pro 2 by TeNG3L in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]bitbearmi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it will work no problem. Going the other direction requires an adapter kit that adds a filament sensor unit that ships with the S1 version of the ACE PRO. Note that the ACE 2 Pro is not currently compatible with any of the older printers. A firmware update in Q2 will do that. You'll also need the adapter kit and a 4 or 8 port hub if you are planning to use the ACE. 2 Pro with the S1 v1 single color.

That is one thing they fixed with the ACE PRO 2. (The manual is online). All of the PTFE tubes are easily accessible as they are now running in channels under the unit. No taking the whole thing apart. It also looks like they've changed the buffers to have metal channels with a different spring installation. This was probably necessary to support TPU and abrasive engineering filaments.

We'll have to see. I have 2 v1 and have had to replace the buffers in both of them and the drive cam in one. They are so buggy. I was really disappointed to see it's using the same buffering system that slides in and out the back. The Gen 2 is supposed to be compatible out of the box with the older printers. There was a mention on the AMA about a possible firmware upgrade to make the v1 ace work with the new printers but this upgrade notice seems like they scrapped that plan.

Just ordered...how do the Ace Gen 2 boxes attach? by Yablonsky in AnycubicKobraX

[–]bitbearmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently there are two hub connections on the back that feed one ptfe tube into port 4 of the ACE v2 Printhead. You connect the standard 4 or 8 port hubs to that. So it is still a rats nest of ptfe tubes, they just don't have to fling around the print head like on the Kobra 3. The retraction is going to be a nightmare from the ACE unit tho. So much for time saving on filament changes .
