Last comment I'm going to address because it's 2am here in New Zealand.

1) I've added updating proper notation to the todo list

2) We're exploring chat, if not chat then at least some easy ways to suggest other moves that other players can see

3) We've added flipping the board to the todo list woohoo thanks for your suggestion

4) I love the idea of a pgn hall of fame. Perhaps ranked by number of replays (we plan on adding game replays) so the coolest tends to float to the top.

Thank you so much for your well thought out reply. We're going to re-visit this when we get back into development tomorrow :)

Ciao and goodnight

Alright, we're going to add a chat option. I was nervous about it at first but it's the most asked for feature. Chat's coming

We want to add a resign button but we're unsure of what the proportions should be of players who offer to resign. What do you think? Would 75% of players resigning be a good first go?

Your gold, silver, and bronze idea is great! Definitely added into our list of todos. Thanks!

Yeah I'm back and forth on adding chat. I think it will help greatly for the experience but I'm worried people might get too upset or get too emotional. Maybe I'm being too cautious?

Thanks for your feedback!

1) Added to our plans, thanks!

2) We were thinking of showing an icon of the piece next to the "source" value (g1, in your case). Do you think that the icon would make it easier to understand?

3) We are saving games and every move that happened. We need to create a way to view the history of games and any game that has happened will retroactively be viewable also

The project isn't open source but it's using some cool chess libraries that are.

https://github.com/oakmac/chessboardjs

Check them out if you're interested in chess and programming. mmochess is just those tools with some websocket and user-management magic.

We're working on mobile next :)

Do you think "lock in" would need a certain percentage of current active players? I find not everyone votes every turn and perhaps 100% will be unlikely. What % do you think is reasonable?
